Amazing view of the Elbe

Decent hotel - but doesn’t match the price

This is a nice hotel in a quiet town outside of Hamburg. The hotel has a nice location overlooking a river and has a great rooftop terrace that is really beautifully decorated. The staff is sweet and polite, nothing to put a finger on. The price the same level as other larger hotels and therefore you should expect similar quality and accommodation. Unfortunately the rooms are small even though they’re nice. The breakfast is really disappointing for a hotel even though it’s in the cheaper end for a breakfast. And bicycles were parked in the foyer. I believe they were still renovating the hotel when we were there but you just would not expect things like this from a hotel in that price range. We payed around EUR 150 for a night plus breakfast. I would stay in the hotel again, it’s not bad at all. But unless the breakfast is improved and the room I get is slightly bigger I would not be willing to pay this price.

Not the Dog-Friendly Hotel we were promised.

Our recent stay at Hotel zum Halbmond was a disappointment from the moment we walked through the door. Despite confirming twice that dogs were welcome—both over the phone and as advertised on their website—we were met with immediate hostility upon arrival. The staff member’s first words were, “I can’t have this dog here,” followed by a lengthy lecture on all the potential problems our dog might cause. It was clear that our dog was not as welcome as we had been led to believe. When we suggested canceling our stay and receiving a refund, the staff member hesitated, clearly more concerned about losing our payment than providing good service. Reluctantly, he showed us to our room, continuing to complain and reiterate his earlier concerns. His attitude was anything but welcoming, and it was clear that hospitality was not his strong suit. To make matters worse, the hotel itself was far from what we expected. The entrance area looked like a construction site, messy and uninviting—nothing like the images shown on their website. We quickly decided that this was not a place we wanted to spend even one night. Thankfully, Hotel.com website was quick to assist us in securing a refund, and we left without further issue. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Hotel zum Halbmond to anyone, especially those traveling with pets. Our advice to the hotel: improve your communication, learn what hospitality really means, and perhaps clean up the place a bit while you’re at it.

Sehr freundliches Personal und die Atmosphäre eines Familienbetriebs. Klasse Aussicht von der großen Veranda. Nicht perfekt für ältere Menschen da viele steile Treppen durch die Hanglage. Und ein Stückchen zu laufen um ins Zentrum zu kommen. Würde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen

Die Zimmer mit Blick in den Garten kann ich nicht bewerten, aber die Zimmer mit Blick auf den Kanal sind absolut empfehlenswert. Ruhig gelegen, herrliche Aussicht, Personal freundlich, Check-In und Check-Out unkompliziert.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Uns wurde nicht nur gesagt, wo unser Zimmer ist, sondern wir wurden hingeführt. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr modern eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Bad ist richtig hübsch. Vom wirklich großzügigen Balkon hat man eine tolle Aussicht über den Elbe-Lübeck-Kanal. Terrassenmöbel für 2 Personen gibt es auch und eine tolle Liege. Zu Fuß ca.18 Minuten und man ist in der historischen Albstadt. Das Frühstück ist schmackhaft und frisch. Uns hat der Aufenthalt im Hotel sehr gut gefallen und können das Hotel wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Ankommen und wohlfühlen, so kann man es auf den Punkt bringen. Schneller Check in. Herr Zacharioudakis ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für das Frühstück kann man einen Zettel ausfüllen mit den Wünschen, dadurch muss auch nicht so viel weggeworfen werden. Eine gute Idee! Jedes Zimmer schön und praktisch eingerichtet mit Terrasse und schönem Blick.Kann das Hotel nur empfehlen .

Det bedste i Lauenburg

Et rigtig godt fund, vi blev venligt modtaget og værelset var super med en stor patio med udsigt over Lauenburg og Elben Et rigtigt “geheimtip”. God morgenmad hvor vi kunne krydse af hvad vi gerne ville have og hvornår, så stod det klar da vi kom til bordet om morgenen. Helt sikkert et hotel der kan anbefales
