![This great little ecolodge makes for a nice 3-4 day side trip if you are visiting Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Fly into Puerto Maldonado and from there it's a 45min boat ride down the Madre de Dios River (an Amazon River tributary).

Our cabana was quite comfy, especially so considering we were in the Amazon Jungle. A limited (and sketchy) power supply made charging batteries tricky, but it all worked out. Sun-warmed-water for showers also worked out given the high humidity and warm afternoons. The food was more than decent and the daily excursions were lots of fun. "True jungle experience. Brought in on long covered top boat, must walk on mud steps to get from boat to real steps. Cabins are rustic with screen windows. Bed covered in mosquito netting. Cold showers. Power on 6-9 pm, which was fine bc you go to sleep early. Meals were quite good. Our guide, Marcello, provided by the lodge, was excellent. ![This great little ecolodge makes for a nice 3-4 day side trip if you are visiting Cusco and the Sacred Valley. Fly into Puerto Maldonado and from there it's a 45min boat ride down the Madre de Dios River (an Amazon River tributary).

Our cabana was quite comfy, especially so considering we were in the Amazon Jungle. A limited (and sketchy) power supply made charging batteries tricky, but it all worked out. Sun-warmed-water for showers also worked out given the high humidity and warm afternoons. The food was more than decent and the daily excursions were lots of fun. "Posadas was a lovely jungle lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful with amazing service. Beautiful setting and Rainforest Expeditions made our transportation and excursions smooth and flawless. Food was fresh and delicious satisfying to the taste buds. The jungle sounds were wonderful to wake up to and helped to send you off to sleep. I highly recommend and would love to return sometime. A lot of wildlife just around the lodge."

"Half an hour a at from Puerto Maldonado by boat , the place is lovely, with river view and a feel of the jungle without venturing too far. We felt like we got a good insight into the area, with included excursions on the river and into the jungle. Our guide Yuri, who was with us throughout, was very knowledgeable and good. The food was great and they had several veg options . Well stocked bar too . The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We had a great stay."
