When my husband and I arrived to the ‘cabin’ the heat was on and it was set to 99 degrees. Please keep in mind it was 100 degrees out side. We were also traveling with a pet so it was extremely unsafe. When we contacted maintenance they did respond very quickly but the only option they gave us was for them to plug is a mobile ac unit. The cabin never cooled down to a comfortable temperature and we were never offered anything else to make up for the inconvenience. We were also not able to open the windows because every single screen was filled with holes and the bugs were swarming in. Next the bed is meant for 1 person and is very uncomfortable. I am 5’9 and my husband is 6,4 so yes we are tall people but our calf’s were hanging off the bed. If you are tent camping or in an RV this place might be ok but as far as renting a cabin I would stay far away from this place. The amenities are decent except the mini golf. The course is concrete and has a ton of chips and cracks in the concrete. That was not fair to me as the consumer. After going back and forth with the front desk I was awarded the cottage, but I don’t have a resolution yet for my June 21st check in on two cottages I booked. The campground assigned wrong type of stay then booked and almost didn’t fix it. We were there several nights and the heater would turn off in the middle of the night and we'd wake up to cold air coming from the fan, plus it was very loud. The bunk beds were OK, not enough blankets, tho, good thing we brought our own. But the cabin had a huge bag of trash in front of it with ravens having scattered the debris as well as the wind. I picked it up well into the evening of my first night. I was invited to a game of water volleyball and loved the great time- the water in the pool was cloudy. The same evening when I returned for evening volleyball the pool was closed. My cabin had trash under the bed which wasn't immediately visible. When I sopped up the floor after a shower the cloth was black which leave me to believe the floors needed a good mopping. I removed the front window screen and washed the window as it was near impossible to see out. The staff is friendly. The grounds are beautiful. I went to an evening jam session and nothing was happening. The evens seem to be fairly non existent.I am returning for a three day large even this fall- will not be a guest over night and really hope the folks arriving will meet with better cleaner rooms and grounds. The cost is far too high for the facility and it's obvious lack of caring and cleanliness. so many possibilities lie here for many better venues. My family and i had never been camping and were not sure what to expect but we were surprisingly very very happy with the experience.
