"The place was clean but the photos are showing 2 places. The beds were confortable. The bedroom were not insonorated like it was written so we could ear lots of neighborhood dogs barking at night. Overall the place had everything we needed to visit that local part of Belize."
Amazing Jungle Tree House right over the river with bikes and canoe
4/10 Poor
"We had a miserable time. It was unbearably hot (30C) and humid all the time we were there, in spite of the many fans throughout the house. (I know, my mistake in not checking on the availability of air conditioning beforehand). Worst of all though were the hordes of mosquitoes and other biting insects INSIDE the house. They would come in through poorly fitted doors and even floorboards! Because of this we could not really enjoy some of the positive aspects of the property. The photos in the posting showed two comfortable looking hammocks. They were not there, replaced by one that had been improperly repaired and was most uncomfortable. But the monkeys did put on a show."
"We had the place to ourselves and the beautiful wildlife right on the river. Shanna and Kenny were wonderful and handled every aspect of our trip. The pool and bbq were fun! I would definitely stay here again. The family of Howler Monkeys with babies were my favorite part. Peaceful, serene, and in the jungle."
You can browse the exhibits at Banquitas House of Culture, a museum with a storied past, during your trip to Orange Walk. Amble around the area's riverfront or experience its art scene.
