"We have camped most of our adult life, when our youngest graduated, we sold our pop-up and I really miss it. That being said we looked at a lot of places that would feel like we were camping, but maybe more glamping, because we are not young anymore. We got exactly what we were looking for. Sadly it rained for two full days out of our four, but we can’t control the weather. I will say, there is plenty of wood on the property but you will need an axe, hatchet, etc to spit it or there is a place down the road that sells wood already cut and bundled, for a reasonable price and that’s what we did. We even left a few bundles for the next guests due to all the rain we were unable to have our campfire the last two nights. This is a wonderful place that would be perfect for a family with small children. Lots of things to peak their Curiosity, play with, and explore. This is not a five star resort, it is not perfect in every way if you are a picky person, but it was perfect for us and what we were looking for."

"Multigenerational family vacation, 9 adults, 1 child..ages 2-80From pre-arrival, check in, check out and everything in between…Phenomenal communication.The photos and descriptions of the house provide a nice idea of expectations.The REALITY of this property is Beyond!Fully supplied kitchen(s), comfortable beds/family rooms. Dining table seats 16, made for lovely breakfast buffets/family dinners. Beautiful lake views from the decks. The game room/pool, made the chilly/rainy days indoors all the more enjoyable! Being able to rent a pontoon and tie it up on the pier, kayaking the lake (kayak provided).Shops/restaurants/towns are reasonably nearbyAll in all truly grateful for a fantastic family holiday!"

"Some of the amenities were not functioning as expected; dishwasher, washing machine, paddle boat, lake, TVs. The property manager wasn't able to receive our messages. We put all that aside and made the best of what we had and enjoyed the beautiful log cabin and the scenery. We all had a great time!"

"My family and I were looking for a place off the grid, in this location, met those standards. We had a fantastic time. Make sure to check out the game room. Our puppy had so much fun in the pond on the property too! Will definitely be back. Thank you again for hosting a wonderful place"
Rustic Crooked Lake Cottage w/ Views & Deck

"We read all of the reviews prior to renting—the repeated mentions of an older home with stained carpeting— and that helped lock things in place for us. We didn’t want to have to worry about sandy or dirty children or accidental spills with the half a dozen children in our group. The space was huge, plenty big enough for the whole group, and the feel was comfortable— a well worn and well loved home. The property did have two grills— one older and one newer— not sure if there was any propane in the tank, but had we known ahead of time, we would’ve planned on grilling while there. There was only one adult sized lifejacket to go with the boat, but we fortunately had brought our own for the kids. We rented a pontoon boat one day and a jet ski another day from Lake George Boat & ATV Rental and Repair, and everyone had so much fun on the lake. For anyone staying on Labor Day Weekend in the future, Sunday night was Crooked Lakes annual ‘Light up the Lake’. We would’ve loved to have been prepared with lights to participate in this beautiful and super cool tradition."
