ice Hotel in excellent location with great staff
Hotel is in an excellent location on Sirmione peninsula. You have to drive through a restricted road and through very narrow streets filled with pedestrians. The Hotel is a B and `B and very dated. The staff were very friendly and approachable and always happy to chat and pass the time. We had a Lake View which was great, although the balcony is a little small. overall the Hotel was clean and the maid service was good. At the time of our stay there were a number of guests who had dogs, I must admit our room did not have any dog smell, thankfully. The outside of the Hotel is tired but it was clean around the pool area with plenty of loungers which we took advantage. Breakfast was continental with a reasonable choice, but coffee was not very good. Overall a very nice stay and ideal for a short break in a very good location where you were able to walk within a couple of minutes to numerous bars and restaurants. The staff were excellent and made our stay very enjoyable. Of note there was no payment for parking on our stay.

Great stay in weird times
Fourth stay at this hotel. Changes to breakfast and having to wear masks indoors were expected, but the cleanliness of the place, the organisation of the pool chairs and the use of whatsapp for ordering drinks just made the whole stay relaxing as well as safe. As always the staff are lovely and the quietness of the hotel, amongst the noise and bustle of Sirmione continues to pull us back. Lovely stay.

we booked a room overlooking the lake! but we had the whole hotel occupied and we got a room overlooking the Parking lot! at the reception they said they would pay us 20 euros, but the money on the card was not received! Italian mafia

This hotel is in a good position - just a short walk outside the town in a quiet area. Great views of the lake and pretty grounds with a pool made a pleasant stay. The staff were fantastic and the breakfasts delicious. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. I would definitely return.

One night stay
Stayed here for one night. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The breakfast buffet was very good. All members of the hotel staff that I spoke with were very nice and helpful. The staff welcoming offered to watch my travel luggage the morning and afternoon of my check-out day. They dog that is at the hotel was very nice. The real only downside was inside the room itself. The shower had lots of black mold in it and some of the painted walls in the main room had areas that were falling off. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were okay, and it was very quiet inside the room at night while sleeping. All in all, I'd probably stay here again with the biggest con being the hotel grounds and the actual area of the hotel itself close to the northern tip of the Sirmione peninsula.

Of all our trip (paris, chamonix, aosta valley, como, garda...), this was our favorite hotel. The staff gets an 11/10 score for being the friendliest and most accommodating of all places we had stayed at. We were traving with two very young children, and the staff were very flexible with our timing on everything. The location is perfect, literally a 3 minute walk from historic downtown. Beautiful views from rooftop terrace. Would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.

Perfect location on Sirmione.
Beautiful location with super staff. Lovely to get away from the crowds and so close to the lake for swimming. Pool also lovely. Room slightly small but good balcony. Need to advertise that parking is €10 per day and not free as suggested on your site. Otherwise we had a great stay and would happily return.

Dear Anne , thanks for your review. Regarding the parking, it's free only if the reservation is made directly through our website. Here on Expedia you can read that the parking has a 10€ supplement per day. Thanks again!

The property was like an oasis, the rooms were very good with lovely little balcony with fabulous views over a well groomed olive orchard and the lake and mountains in the distance. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice and service for rooms on the front. The swimming pool was peaceful and in lovely grounds. The staff throughout were excellent and very pleasant and made the holiday. The hotel is just a short walk to the centre os Sirmione which is a jewel in Lake Garda and ferries to the rest of the Lake.

Very nice find.
After booking in a nearby hotel and absolutely hating it. We stumbled across mon repos. We were so lucky to find it. Exceptional staff, great location, very clean rooms with a beautiful outdoor pool. The breakfast was plentiful and I would definitely be returning

Nice hotel but time your arrival carefully
The hotel was fine; rooms are small but the balcony with lake view was very nice and the pool area was lovely. There was an extensive breakfast buffet. Location is wonderful, a short walk to the historic center of Sirmione, the lovely St. Peter’s Church and the Roman villa ruins and museum. However, getting to the hotel on a sunny Saturday afternoon in May was nerve-wracking. Only cars for registered guests are permitted to drive through the narrow old streets of the center, but it was often impossible to move because of the throngs of tourists filling those streets. Driving out on a Monday morning was much easier. I would recommend consulting wth the hotel about the best times to arrive (or times to avoid).

Well located and lovely staff
This hotel is perfectly placed a little way from the tourist centre, so quieter than others, with great views over the lake. Just on the way to the Roman ruins at the tip of the peninsula too. A few minutes' walk from central restaurants and the spa. Rooms are rather tired and outdated, unfortunately. However, the staff are wonderful (e.g. great recommendations for places to eat) and there is a lovely swimming pool surrounded by cedar trees in the garden.

This hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy both the views over the Lake and to walk into town for some food and drinks in the evening. The staff are fantastic, and can't do enough to ensure you are looked after and your stay is perfect.

This hotel is in a brilliant location looking out over Lake Garda, stunning views. The breakfast room and breakfast itself were very nice indeed and lots of choice. The room itself was clean but dated. The furniture really needs an upgrade, but was functional and as I say it was very clean and the balcony was really nice to sit out. The pool with a bar could not be faulted.

Wonderful location.
The location of this hotel is perfect: just outside the tourist throngs in Sirmione old town but within easy walking distance of the town's attractions and the Roman villa at the end of the peninsular. The lake view rooms are worth the premium-we had probably the worst of them (101 ground floor in corner, but were still thrilled by the sight of the sun rising over the lake.) The staff were outstanding, especially the always cheerful Sara, the manageress. Breakfasts were excellent and the pool was a real asset. For this price it is unbeatable.

Great location - close to the old town but not in it! Don't panic when driving through the narrow streets to get there - its worth it! Friendly & helpful staff, fabulous breakfast.

Quiet respite from the busyness of Sirmione!
It may have been good if the hotel let us know before we got there that we had to get authority from the police check near the Castello to drive through, once that was sorted no problem! It was much quieter around the hotel which we appreciated and the facilities were good (pool, roof top terrace with good view, dining room with view and extensive breakfast) and it was easy to get anywhere from the hotel to anything between there and he Castello (tip of the peninsular)

The hotel location is great, although you need to drive through old town to get to it, and this can be a challenge on a busy season with all the pedestrians walk around the narrow streets. The room was little old but all other amenities were great. The location is definitely the best!

Worth the effort!
Driving to this hotel can be very challenging but once you are there, it is a lovely place! Best time to drive in or out is before 9AM. Do take the boat tour around the island-well worth the ten euro charge.

Although the building and decor is a little tired, it is more than made up for by the lovely staff, fantastic location in spacious grounds overlooking the lake and excellent pool and pool bar. The breakfast offers a fantastic selection never experienced in a 3* before. The staff are excellent offering a warm reception with a smile and helpful advice.

Perfect location with beautiful pool area. Away from the crowds but only a short walk to many restaurants and bars. The staff here are great! Sarah was a delight to talk to and really helpful and the man at the bar pool and the lady at the breakfast ( sorry, didn't catch their names) were great, very help and professional and they always wore a smile.

Beautiful setting right above the beach.
Just getting to the hotel was a fun experience, driving across the draw bridge of a 12th century castel and thru the old section of town. Hotel staff were very friendly. Located above a beautiful beach on Lake Garda with crystal clear waters. We stayed there only one night as a stop over between Venice and Milan. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We much appreciated the hotel staff's smiling disposition and could fell that it was genuine. They were always helpful and kind. We thank them for a lovely stay! The only drawback is the limited access to the hotel on week-ends (we were denied access by the police at the gate entrance to the old part of Sermione and had to wait from 4PM to 7PM on a Saturday). Although it is written on the back that the hotel had issued us (we had not read this), it might be a good idea to point this out to the guests on arrival. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay at hotel Mon repos and would return in the future.

Fantastic location
Hotel Mon Repos has a great location and beautiful views. It's close to the restaurants and bars but far enough to be quiet at night. The pool is lovely and the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and caters for all. The only downside is that the rooms are a little dated and could do with freshening up. Also, if you pay for a lakeside view, ensure you ask for the second floor, otherwise you have a nice view of some bushes... All in all, well worth the money and I would stay there again.
