"We stayed in a 1-bedroom cabin — older style but comfortable and quiet with good air conditioning. The kitchen was well-equipped for self-catering, though the pots and pans are showing age and could use replacing.
Nice hot showers and good water pressure, which was appreciated. The location is excellent for accessing hiking tracks, and views of Rawnsley Bluff are a real highlight.
Staff were friendly and efficient. Overall, it's a practical, no-frills base if you're planning to spend time outdoors exploring the ranges. The Woolshed Restaurant is also very good if you don't want to cook.
Worth a stay if you're after mountain access over luxury."
