  • Mountaintop gated 1 acre nature estate, serene, private, 2300 sq' home; 2500 sq' expansive decks & patios. Solar heated swimming pool. Sun! Enormous forest views.

    4BD,3 BA; (4th BD is large family room w/ exc American Leather queen sofabed, twin bed, pool table). Living room fireplace; high speed wi-fi; 65"tv; prem cable pkg. Jacuzzi ($150 min. charge), WeberBBQ & outdoor sink. Putting green. Huge garden, patios, carpeted child's play area. EV charging station in driveway. Parties or events not allowed except by special arrangement.
    Our home is on a one acre property.
    Geraldine and Joe, the owners, maintain a small apartment on the upper level at the very end of the main house. They travel approximately six months of the year. If they are not traveling, they reside in that small in-law apartment.
    Geraldine and Joe are completely independent of their guests and do not share any part of the over 1/2 acre private guest areas.
    In 10 years, they have never had an issue with their guests.
    Their home is very well insulated.
    They do not hear guests (even crying babies and screaming children) and guests do not hear the owners.
    Geraldine and Joe have a private entrance, kitchen, etc.
    They are very sensitive to Guests' privacy. They do not use the pool or hot tub.
    Geraldine and Joe do work in the upper level 1/2 acre garden area (guests are fully welcome in that area as well). If Geraldine and Joe are in residence, the upper garden area and the driveway are the only places guests and owners might encounter one another.
    There are three levels to the expansive property.
    Guests are almost always on the main level with the 100 foot long large deck area or on the large pool and hot tub deck area which is a level below the main level.
    The owner area is on the upper garden level in the very back.

Should have been told that the owners live in the property before deciding whether we wanted to rent

Overall we had a nice time, even though the gardeners were there one day for most of the day. The owners were very nice and friendly.

Our best moments were spent on an outrageous deck. Amazing views, great BBQ, drinks and memories. We all said the same thing when we arrived - the pictures do not do this property justice. The property had three levels - each level had amazing landscaping and the views got more breathtaking as we climbed (with beautiful flowers). Yes, we left to see the redwoods and a great beach but the real treat was the property, the views and of course the best deck & views we have ever seen. The house was great too and had something for everyone. A shoutout to the hosts, who obviously go the extra mile to ensure you have everything you need to create memories.

Perfect gathering place for us to vacation with our adult children

Geraldine’s Lagunitas home met and far exceeded our expectations. Every space was clean, well taken care of, inviting, and comfortable. Geraldine responded to every question or concern we had. The location of this house is marvelous — near the top of a hill and surrounded by thick forest trees. And so peaceful! We spent hours playing games around the big table, soaking in the hot tub, playing in the pool, and exploring and enjoying the terraced hillside garden that was covered with beautiful flowers. All around the property were cozy and comfortable places to sit and relax while taking in the view and enjoying nature. And the stars at night - even my cell phone camera was able to capture amazing images of the starry nights! We took advantage of the many local trails that led through redwoods and by babbling creeks. We played disc golf multiple times at an amazing course by Stanford Lake about 30 minutes away. We drove about an hour north and had lunch and some tastings at a winery, and then floated down the Russian River in tubes. On the way back, we stopped at an awesome Brewery in Petaluma (Brewsters). In the evenings we returned to our retreat and enjoyed the hot tub or watching movies on the big screen TV. We ate at yummy local restaurants, cooked for the group easily in the kitchen, and we also utilized the big gas Weber grill to grill chicken and corn on the cob. Each morning we enjoyed great coffee and had fun making lattes and cappuccinos with all the coffee gadgets. The internet was speedy all over the property and had no problem handling the multiple devices of all nine of us. All this with super cozy beds, high quality linens, and soft fluffy towels! We will definitely be coming back!

Feel of middile of nowhere

This house was amazing! Though it was winter, we were able to use the spa, which was great in the chilly evenings. The beds were nice and cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed for family meals. The whole family loved hanging out in the billiard room and play putt putt at the top of the property. The view from the putt putt course is breath taking and so relaxing. Geraldine was very responsive when we had an issue and got a resolution right away. We greatly enjoyed our stay. Our family thanks Geraline and Joseph !

Nice place to stay

Clean and beautiful property just outside the San Francisco area. Owners were very nice people and accommodating. We traveled with 5 people and had lots of room in the house. Deck and pool area is great and putting green is challenging. I would recommend this rental to anyone.

Fantastic setting for family or a romantic getaway

Everything you need in a rental. Beautiful flower gardens, redwood forrest views, quiet and quaint with a modern feel. Huge outdoor decks with a pool and hot tub. Close to everything you want to see in the Bay Area. We had ample room for our family of eight. Would definitely rent this property again.

Beautiful quiet location

This home has a very quiet, restful location. There are many things for the kids in our group to keep them occupied.. it was a work out getting to the upper play and putting green location, but well worth the trek. (No problem for the kids) the house was very clean and very nicely decorated. Every appliance worked as needed. It was a little warm-83-85 during the day, but several fans were available for that and it cooled off at night. It was a short ride to the nearest town/ grocery and not too much further to the beaches. So, all in all, was a very nice stay!
