As Lachaqui is a small, rural area, the best place to stay is generally within the main village itself, or in one of the lodges just outside its immediate perimeter.

For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying in one of the lodges or guesthouses a short walk or drive from the village centre is ideal. These accommodations often provide more privacy, stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and a tranquil setting great for relaxation after a day of exploring. They often have their own gardens or outdoor spaces where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air.

For those interested in hiking and outdoor activities, staying either in the village or at a nearby lodge provides easy access to the trails leading into the Lachaqui highlands and towards the various waterfalls and viewpoints.

The best time to go to Lachaqui is during the dry season, which runs from May to October.

During these months, you'll experience clear skies and pleasant temperatures, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region without the interruption of rain. This period is great for outdoor activities like hiking and enjoying the scenic landscapes.

Travellers looking for an active holiday will find this period particularly appealing.
