The restaurant in the lobby (Zoe’s?) was clearly not intended as anything more than a lounge. Eating off tables so low you need to double over is far from what should be presented at a hotel of the reputation of the Chateau Laurier. Also, our server was either a complete rookie or careless in the extreme. Water was slopped all over our table and I was the one wiping it up, not the server who was standing and observing my efforts. She later refilled our water in a glass which had been used for orange juice and I reminded her she was filling a dirty glass. Surely
clean glasses is not an exorbitant expectation.
