"Booked a night here as it was reasonably close to Santander where we were sailing into. It was easy to find. The room was very nice, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. We had dinner at the hotel which was excellent and a good breakfast. "This is a fantastic little B&B. The lady running the place was ever so friendly, helpful and patient with our efforts to communicate in Spanish. Each room has its own private entrance, so you feel like you have your privacy. Although there's no air conditioning, you can manage the summer temperatures somewhat by keeping the shutters down and the windows cracked open. The "lavender room" we stayed in had heart-shaped rugs and pillows, and even a heart-shaped bath. It was great! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, so also recommended."

"Nice gardens surrounding the house/palace in an isolated natural place inviting to relaxing and enjoy nature. Only 30 minutes to Santoña and other attractions. Restaurant team very friendly but people at reception were not friendly not knowledgeable, so making some situations uneasy. Only breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel restaurants. Food was quite good. A couple of local small restaurants in the town. We likes Casa de Montaña."
