Property is okay for the price we paid. However this is NOT a Days Inn anymore. Expedia should update it to the Norwood Inn. It's an older hotel, so just expect that level of accommodation. The free breakfast was nonexistent "due to COVID". At least there was free coffee.

Hallways and rooms
The first night was scarry. When we returned to.our rooms about 10pm after visiting the amazing swimming pool, the hallways were full of smoke and the smell of.pot. we worried about the kids in the other rooms. The hallways were not clean. Under the beds were dirty. The beds were comfy and roomy. Bathrroms were. Lean as well. If that 1st night wouldnt have been sxarry we would recommend this hotel.to others.

When we arrived we were supposed to have a rollabed in our room - when I checked in the girl at the desk said if there wasnt one to call - I got an email stating there would be but there wasnt one - we couldnt call because there was no phone in the room - it felt like 20 below in the room - I was told that because we were just an over night stay we werent allowed the breakfast - I also told her that I'd planned on paying cash for the room and she told me she'd have to charge me for the incidentals then and I assumed I'd get that money back at check out - the next morning I went down to the desk again and there was a nice guy at the desk - he said that we were supposed to be able to get the breakfast even though we were only staying one night and that it hadnt been charged to my credit card - great - BUT when I checked out the same young lady told me that it had been charged - no consistency in how people work - so it went on my credit card

We got there to check in about 6 (3 hrs after check in started) and our room wasn’t ready. We went to swim in the pool and there wasn’t any pool towels left. There was only 1 lady working at the front desk and a long line almost out the door- so she couldn’t help us. We were given a single towel and when I called to ask for more- no one ever answered. The shower curtain had mildew all on the bottom. We also only had 1 roll of toilet paper that was left on the roll (no back up). One of the beds was a queen mattress on a full size box spring so it kept sliding around. There also was no continental breakfast offered. When we went to checkout the lady at the desk gave us the wrong receipt. Didn’t ask about our stay or anything. The hotel smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana. The door to our wing was held open with a bungee cord and our deadbolt was missing on our door. There was also food left in our mini fridge. I know that it is a cheap hotel, but I was very disappointed and would not recommend.

Even though the place was clean, the second floor had an odor to it like cleaning solution. Lights in entry and bathroom came on but were extremely dim. I mentioned it to the clerk but no one came to fix it. The second time I stayed there, there was no soap or extra roll of toilet paper. Apparently they had run out of both

We had registered as 2 travelers, but had to ask for an extra key, which we almost didn't get because they were short. There is no lock on the outside doors to the building. Had to ask for a second wash cloth and towel.

It was terrible. The hotel smelled awful. The room was even worse. The bathroom was not clean, the carpet was dirty. We did not have a remote for the tv and took over 3 hours to get one, and when it did come it only worked for a few minutes. The towels were dirty and stained.

Worst place we ever stayed at. Room stunk. Bathroom was disgusting. Carpet was dirty. Beds weren’t made properly. Drapes were hangin apart in the middle. Just an overall bad room we had. Maybe there were better rooms there, but not ours.

The room we stayed in had peeling wallpaper, stained ceilings and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The toilet seat was loose and the trowels were scratchy.the hallway smelled like piss. The bed was comfortable enough but the pillows were small and lumpy. Would NOT recomend this hotel to anyone.

Pool is closed due to remodel, lobby is the only ok space for the whole building, rooms and hallways were honestly gross. Water damage and fire hazards in rooms and hallway, very scary stairwells.

Doing some remodeling, hallways with plastic on floor or foot prints from plaster. Ceiling tiles missing. Hes in wall. Ice machine only on main floor, pool closed. Stayed more than 1 night had to get clean towels from front desk. Would not honor Hotel.com price, said taxes are higher than the site has listed.

Our room was disgusting. The bathroom was the THE WORST. The sink was clogged and there were fruit flies. There was someone else’s toothpaste splatter on the mirror and what I am truly hoping was mud on the base of the toilet

Budget friendly....However, I was afraid to sleep with my mouth open. The smell of natural gas in the building was overwhelming. The smell of mold or wet carpet in the room, (my room carpet was actually wet in spots) and throughout the whole building was disturbing. The blankets were crusty and full of holes. The pool and the resturant were closed, and I brought all my valuables with me when I left, even for just 5 minutes. Not to mention the a few of the parking spots used as an auto mechanic garage for the residents of the motel (yuck). The staff however were very friendly. I would not reccomend staying here, especially with small children, i wouldnt even let my 3 year old touch the floor without his socks and shoes. :(

There was no hot water in our shower. The chain lock was broken and inoperable in our kids adjoining room. Not safe. Hallway going to our room was very dirty.

This was the absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked a non-smoking room. When we walked into our room, the smoke was so bad that my infant son immediately had an asthma attack. I called and the front desk got us a different room. This room smelled much better. However, the bed did not smell clean, and the heating/cooling unit was hanging off from the wall by just a couple screws. We tried to put it back into place but it was no use. We had our two kids under three staying in the room with us so this was not safe for them at all. The cable was so bad. We got a total of 10 channels and none were kid friendly. There was someone painting a room a few doors down from ours. So while our room didn’t smell like smoke, the paint smell was nauseating. In the morning we went down to the continental breakfast which was a joke. There was a small selection of fruit, yogurt, cereal bars and donuts that were very picked over. My daughter picked a yogurt and cereal bar, and I grabbed the same for my son. We left to our event in lacrosse for the day, on the way my daughter vomited all over my car which is very unusual for her, she doesn’t get car sick. It was so bad I had to discard her car seat and go buy her a new one. Come to find out, the yogurt she ate from the hotel was EXPIRED! If all that wasn’t bad enough, the doors on the other entrances to the hotel don’t lock so there is no security and I overheard other guests complaining of their own room doors coming unlocked randomly

I liked nothing. The photos online look NOTHING like the real thing. When we arrived, no one was at the front desk so we had to wait. Our door was completely open when we first got to the room after we checked in (creepy). None of the lightbulbs worked in the bathroom. We found hair all over. And our sheets were stained.

Low quality hotel
This was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. It was old; online pictures were what it may have looked like in its prime...but not now. I could go on and on with the problems—first room was dirty and damp. Not enough towels; no hot water in the shower, ect. I would definitely not recommend this Days Inn hotel!!!! Can’t believe I booked it through VRBO.😡

Got there and found the pool was closed for the past 6 weeks. Would have been nice to know before I booked. Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable.

Quiet but not clean
The corner upstairs room was quiet - best part of the stay. Pool closed and no grab and go breakfast eve though the website promotes their availability. The room was dated and showed nothing like the websites boosted. Bathroom was dirty, dresser drawers were dirty, stairwells were dirty and the room was not cleaned the entire four day stay. However, when asked for additional coffee pods and clean towels, both were given immediately. Staff was respectful, and as helpful as possible, but management needs to take a long look at the condition of the establishment. Perhaps they are incredibly under staffed as many businesses are at this time.

I was in room 119 and my air conditioner barely wirked. My tv had more lines in it then writting paper. Then when i askef to be moved the lady flat out said No. We will call maintenance. I wanted to be moved. My room smelled and i just wished to be moved. I asked for my money back and was giving a hard time about that... The manager was rude and told me that we dont rent to people in lavrosse i said thats discrimination. She said we have been doing it for years. I asked for her name she refused to give it to me. None of the employees that i saw had name tags. There where people coming from behind the counter that you dont know who works there or not? I will never stay there again.. I was treatef horribly and the manager i dealt with should never deal with the public... And in my opinion should be fired..

There was nothing I liked about this hotel. It is old and has not been well cared for. There was not much support staff around. The toilet in our room overflowed, and when we asked for help they said there was nothing they could do. The pool that is advertised in this picture is out of commission with no reopen date listed. There were people smoking pot outside the front of the hotel. Need I say more?

Place was very dirty and run down unlike others I’ve stayed at, pool and hot tub closed and it’s the 4th of a July weekend, very disappointing and would not recommend anyone to stay here.

A nice front desk employee upgraded our room to suite. Suite is okay, and bathroom and jacuzzi tub are good. Coffee maker is missing the coffee sache holder, unable to make any coffee in room. Room is dated and Air conditioner is making terrible noise throughout and unable to sleep. Thank god, it was just a stopover to our home in Chicago and left the room at 4 AM. Kids got some sleep and i barely got any sleep. It is ahuge facility, pool was closed, needs some updates throughout. For the price you pay here, it is worth it.

No room available when I arrived at midnight. Expedia has had a 3 hour wait on it's help line ever since. Tried communicating online, but was sent to a number that dumps to voicemail and dropped the call after a long wait. No hope of getting any help from Days Inn who told me to call Expedia. Don't think there is any way to get my money back. Expedia gets lowest rating possible.

Screwed by Hotels.com and this lodging locale.
Awful, awful, awful. Hotels.com “guaranteed” a room that did not exist. I was absolutely exhausted from driving 700 miles and the front desk clerk, when she got back from her 40 minute break “cleaning a room for a stranded trucker” could not have been any less concerned if she actively tried. Her shrug might as well have been a middle finger.

The night desk person was friendly and was helpful in getting me transported to the airport. The day desk person was not friendly or helpful concerning non functioning tv. The entire place needs to be updated. Won't stay here in the future

I am normally one who takes reviews with a grain of salt as some people just have bad days. This place however was definitely nothing to write home about. It took a long time to get checked in and once we got into our room, I cringed! It was not only old and dingy, but filthy and gross. I was honestly ready to take my chances and just sleep in the car. It was nowhere near worth the $150/night rate. Not even sure I would have paid $50 a night for this place.

I needed a shower when I left!
Friendly staff was the only good aspect. The hotel was dirty stains on the walls tear in the bathtub dust on the curtain so thick they look gray and run down in general. It was the most expensive cheap hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Don’t walk away, run!

Lots of mold and mildew all over the room hallways and lobby. Room given was not room booked. dont know how they can expect people to sleep on the floor.

Got to the hotel at 2, large sign at front desk stating no checking before 3pm. No one at the front desk for a good 15-20 min. I had a wedding at 3pm and needed to shower and change after a 4 hour drive. She still would not allow an early check in even though it was now 2:30pm. I ended up changing in the pool shower area which extremely hot and humid. Walls in the hotel rooms are very thin, could hear the man in the room next to me snore all night. Surprised the hotel has upgraded due to the fact Celebrations on the River is literally 2 blocks away and serve a higher clientele that would not stay at a place of this crappy quality.

Hotel needs a lot of work. Air conditioner didn’t work, limited outlets (with today’s electronics you need outlets) and blankets had stains on them. Not enough towels in the room for the number of people we had staying in the room. We managed fine but we will not be staying here again.
