It sits right on the beautiful beach. We enjoyed dining outside and gazing out over the white sands and blue waters. We could walk right out to the pool area, and from the pool to the beach. Kumejima is gorgeous and interesting, and we greatly enjoyed our stay.

Two pools empty with dirt and sand on bottom. Jacuzzi both empty and dirty. Tennis courts no nets and covered in sand dunes. Putting green no flags and overgrown. Beach covered with trash. Building falling apart and safety hazards everywhere. Rooms were nice but wood floors and being put on bottom floor kept us up all night. Onsen was good with a nice view.

staff are all wonderful ! property is old and run down, but rooms are very very clean. Food is above average. Amenities are poor. The beach is BEAUTIFUL.

Good location but Disappointing accommodations
Very disappointed in this hotel. It's like a hotel that was built on a beach 20 years ago and was never maintained.... holes/cracks in the room walls, beds that seem as old as the original construction and bathrooms that seem to be made out of porta potties. Hotel staff is fine.

Hotel is old and there is no entertainment inside the hotel (December end week stay). Rooms are small in size and the air conditioning sometimes not enough. Better to book with breakfast, it is really worth. However, dinner is not value for money. The biggest plus is direct access to the beach.

kume island beach hotel
as one of the only two hotels on the island and the only one on the beach i would recommend this hotel if you are planning to spend a few days on the island. the hotel has great service. the beds are a bit hard for westerners but we asked for extra padding and they were provided. the hotel breakfast was fantastic. there were many restaurants within walking distance too. we took the taxi to nearby attractions. the besch is beautiful but there are many dead coral washed up on the beach so you will need water shoes. this is a great place for families. we were a family of four stayed in a two twin room and they provided two additional beds per our request without additional costs.

Happy Family Trip
staff of EEF sports club, Keiko san, really nice and helped me to book restaurant nearby so i did not miss the great local dishes. my family joined the snorkeling tour, another EEF sports club the staff Ami san, was professional like and taught my kids snorkeling. we really enjoy the time on the island and swimming along with fishes. the sea was little bit rough as we visit the island a day after typhoon passed. we did also horse riding and visited the famous sea water SPA for 3 days. my kids can learn and meet the sea turtles at the sea turtle museum. bus service is available on the island, but more convenient if you rent a car.

Great hotel by the beach with good breakfast buffet. Can view sun rise from room balcony and have a relaxing hot spring.

A good hotel for beach lovers
It was a great experience staying at this hotel because I could enjoy the private pool and beach all day long. There are some local seafood restaurants nearby, so I could enjoy different restaurants every night.

Clean and spacious hotel with good facilities
Our room was spotlessly clean and very spacious by Japanese standards. The hotel is right on a beautiful beach. Good features of the hotel include bicycle rental (pricey but quality bikes), a coin laundry and a quality sento (bathhouse) overlooking the beach in a separate building.

Great beach area and hotel
This is a great older hotel directly on the beach. The rooms only face the ocean (hallway on the land side) and every room looks to have an A+ view. The room furnishings matched to photos, clean and well maintained, but old. The hotel is busy and doesn't have any old hotel smell though. There are a double handful of good places to eat in easy walking distance. Soba, shrimp and champuru were all good. The Beach is nice and swimable (bring swim shoes, there is sharp coral bits) and the water is shallow pretty far out.

Very pleased
Incredible location and staff. Overall hotel was great, especially the free breakfast! The beds are on the hard side, but the view more than makes up for it. Great location on the island

A very pleasant but dated hotel in a great location by a beautiful beach along with two pools and an outdoor eating area. Plenty of choice for eating out with a variety of restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Buffet breakfast has plenty of choice for both Japanese as well as westerners. Rooms dated but adequate, no safe facilities and limited tv channels, no BBC / CNN etc. Maid did not close door properly after cleaning the room on two separate occasions, no compensation offered despite complaining twice. Luggage etc could have been easily stolen.

建物の外観は古かったですが内装は新しく綺麗でした。朝食も美味しかったです。難はドアのストッパーの位置に足が引っ掛かり転びケガのおそれあり。上のハンガー使用時に。転倒し骨折しないように改善を。🙇‍♀️

Highly rated for the friendly staff. I cant speak Japanese but they tried their best to communicate with me. And helpful! Hotel restaurant dinner is nice! Breakfast choice is not much but yummy! Beautiful beach walking distance!

台風のせいとはいえ、プールは半分使えなく、残り半分のプールは水が非常に汚かった。大浴場のエアコンが故障しておりサウナ状態になっていたので風呂から出た瞬間に大量の汗が出る始末。ジムに置いてある筋トレ用のマシンも故障中の張り紙でで使えない。コインランドリーは清掃されていないので黒いものを洗えば繊維が沢山付き汚れてしまった。部屋のトイレを流すレバーは壊れている。掃き出し窓も固くて開け閉めが困難。部屋内も共用部分の清掃も適当で、フロントへクレームを伝えるも回答は無い。リゾートホテルと呼ぶには程遠いと思う。明確な回答を返して欲しいし、折角の夏休みを嫌な気分で過ごしたので返金して欲しい。
