Centrally located in trendy Kazimierz along the historic Ulica Sw. Wawrzynca, next to the Museum of Engineering and Technology,. Opposite to the Judah food truck market with its diversity of Local and International takeaways. In the immediate vicinity of many nice bars/cafes and excellent, yet affordable, restaurants. Example Qrudo , next to the main entry of the apartment complex which is the fourth best restaurant of Krakow (according to Tripadvisor). Almost all famous historical places of Krakow are within walking distance, including Wawel Royal Castle 1.1 km (15 min.), Main Square 1.6 km (20 min), Maria church 1,7 km (20 min.) and Schindler’s Factory 1,4 km (17 min.). 150 meters to the South is the green Vistula boulevard, popular among hikers, runners and cyclists. 200 meters further down the river is the Vistula Lovers Bridge with its thousands of padlocks, bearing witness to as many young love couples. Kazimierz Gallery, a large modern shopping and cinema centre, is only 700 meters (10 min) by feet. Ideal for family or couple of friends, up till 6 or even 7 persons. APARTMENT: With its two lifts, wide staircases and broad corridors, the building provides ample space to keep social distance. Also, contributing to the guest’s safety during the pandemic, are the instant self-check-in and the apartment's thorough cleanliness (as confirmed by reviews of guests). The apartment is located on the 2nd and 3rd floor and has a surface of 102 m2\. With its central heating and excellent isolation, it feels comfortably warm during the winter. And because of its modern air conditioning, it feels also refreshing cool during hot summer days (and nights!). Downstairs, the apartment consists of a hall / living room / annex kitchen plus a toilet. Upstairs are two spacious sunny bedrooms (24 m2 and 20 m2), each with six skylights that can be completely, or partially, darkened. Both bedrooms have their own luxurious bathroom with a convenient walk-in rain-shower and are equipped with a hairdryer. There is a balcony and all rooms face a green quiet courtyard. The apartment, finished under supervision of an architect, has been fitted with quality furniture. The walls are decorated with four original paintings of Polish painter Tomasz Welna. A (free) parking space, in the underground garage, belongs to the property. AMENITIES: In the apartment, guests will find space, style, comfort and security. All rooms are thus equipped with; \- Air-conditioning, which is a blessing in Krakow during hot summer days and nights, \- Smart TV and Fast Internet (over 100 MB/sec download) that enable quality communication with the rest of the world as well as entertainment through games, films and audio, \- Large, in-build cupboards, wardrobes and desks (bedrooms only). The kitchen has new appliances (refrigerator, fridge, cooker, hood, cooker, oven, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine, toaster). A cot and a high chair will be provided on request. A number of board games as well a playing cards can be found in the drawer under the TV in the living room. Security is ensured through a 24/7 concierge service, code controlled access and central monitoring. Laundry and ironing facilities are of course provided. APARTMENT BUILDING The apartment building is a redevelopment of the first power plant of Krakow that started operation in 1905\. Many artefacts of that Galician industrial complex have been preserved, while its façade has been carefully restored. The redevelopment project was completed in 2017 and resulted in beautiful unique complex. In that year it was honoured as “construction of the year”, a Polish architectural award. The apartment itself is located in the very heart of this industrial redevelopment, roughly at the site of the former furnace. Located in a good neighbourhood with so many food stops and within a short walk of the Old Town.it also has underground parking that is safe and free - avoid the parking on the street. I can be an adventure entering the garage from the front of the building - the host has instructions to use an alternative entrance that is much easier.Our only observation what that the kitchen lacked a few necessities - dish clothes, towels and paper products. It might be good to request a mocha pot for coffee, as well, since the espresso machine is well-used and not functioning correctly.Overall, our stay was first rate. Has a washer for clothes and dishes. Kitchen has everything to cook. When you leave front of building is great truck food places across the street. If you face street turn left walk about three to four blocks there is great fruit veg market and bakeries. We walked everywhere easily.no car needed. Goat responded promptly to all questions kindly. Also close to river which has pretty walks along the river and walking bridge. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Poland. ##### Helenka K. Situated in a beautiful refurbished power plant which started operation in 1905\. The redevelopment project was finished in 2017 and it was done to an exceptional standard. The host was 1st class and the area is beautiful. It is in a great location for both the Jewish Quarter & Main Square. The place was very clean, was in a wonderful location with short walks to the castle, Old Town and many wonderful restaurants. Walking distance to Old Town, Market Square, Jewish quarter. Many restaurants, grocery stores. Check-in was a little challenging - the parking garage entrance is behind the building on a different street. Because of many 1-way streets, it took 10 minutes to get to it. Walk straight up the road and over great shopping centre a short walk or you can get a taxi.food trucks in front of the apartment building!! Overall a very plesant week .me and my friend are both in our 70s and loved it ...you can the tram to the large square lots of shops and restaurants and wonderful carragies ,pulled around by beautiful horses .also the apartment has a small balcony which is nice to sit and enjoy breakfast. Entry instructions easy to follow. Great location for the main square, and nice and quiet with a food market on the front doorstep. Parking space available which is very helpful. The underground parking is a lifesaver if you have a car - incredibly convenient, although it can be difficult to find (we parked ours and didn't move it again until our departure - not needed in the city).We happened to be in Krakow on two very hot days, and the air conditioning worked very well - once we found a working remote.The unit is in a renovated (or maybe brand new) building, with very secure access, and everything looks new. However, we found the unit to be just superficially nice - on the surface it looks great, but the details were lacking. For instance, the unit was surface clean, but not deeply clean. The floor was not clean enough to walk on after getting out of the shower. The beds look nice, but we found them to be uncomfortable with scratchy linens and tiny pillows.Communication with the management team was marginally helpful, with one response that we felt was rude.None of this kept us from enjoying our time in the city, but we would not stay here again. ##### John S. The bedrooms are really nice, beds are comfortable and having two bathrooms and a downstairs toilet was a bonus when there were 4 adults sharing the apartment. The balcony outside was lovely to sit on and have a drink and was quite a sun trap in the afternoon. Plenty of crockery and other kitchen utensils if you wanted to prepare food - although with the number of great restaurants nearby and a street food market across the road we never did. The building which the apartment is part of has a key code to gain entrance and the apartment itself has solid locks. The location of the apartment is great, it is in the Jewish quarter with plenty of great restaurants and things to see nearby, it’s about a 25 minute stroll to the main square and 5 minutes from the river and a 2 minute stroll across the river takes you to the historic ghetto area. There are also plenty of small supermarkets nearby to stock up on essentials. The hosts Jan and Justyna were fantastic, our flight times were changed which meant we landed in Poland 3 hours earlier than we had planned but they allowed us to drop our bags off at the apartment so that we didn't need to carry them about with us until check in time. We would definitely recommend this apartment and if we ever return to Krakow this would be my first choice as a place to stay. Thank you Jan and Justyna for a fanatastic stay! ##### Jacqui M.
