Quirky guesthouse with it’s own distinct personality. Very welcoming & complimentary shuttlebus to & from Knysna centre was a definite bonus!

Zimmer mitten im Bambus-Wald

Die Leute ware super nett und standen mit Empfehlungen zur Seite (Restaurants und Märkte). Das Zimmer war riesig und sehr komfortabel eingerichtet.

Lovely and exotic family-owned business

The room was roomy and lovely, and a private terrasse provided us with a beautifyl spot for our morning coffee. The layout of the guesthouse is charming and enhanced our feeling of vacation. The family-feel at the guesthouse is wonderful, and made us feel very welcome. They took care of reserving activities for us without issues. The only downsides: no wifi apart from the main room, and the pool wasn't really in a usable state for the duration of our stay. All in all, good value for the money, and we would go again!

One of a kind!

After a little bit of a rough start, but with fast and adequate response from the management, we had a great stay among the magical gardens of Bamboo Guest House. The breakfast was very satisfying. The place can be a bit rough, but its the ambiance that makes it special.

Amazing little hideaway in a beautiful garden. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only things is, absolutely the poorest wifi i have ever experienced anywhere in any guesthouse, you can't connect unless you stand by the reception.

Great if you are the relaxed traveler

Has It's own charm but don't expect the service level of "real" hotels

Not worth the money

Not a very nice place. Kind or unorganized. WiFi did not work. Room full of insects, even a frog. Room smelled from damp. Towels smelled from damp. Far away from everything.

Amazing place

Beautiful hidden hotel that reminded a lot like these cozy bungalows in the islands of Thailand. The entire place is like in the jungle and everything is well thought out with the design, art and relaxed atmosphere. We had a room which was really big and even had a private pool. The staff/owners where really friendly and helpful people. Good breakfast. Good Wifi. Free parking.

Very friendly staff but tired facilities

Lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you. The hotel is in need of a refresh: tired room, poor shower (no bath), pool was small and had patches of fibreglass showing. Lots of Mosquitos attracted by the lovely gardens- but no screens on windows or doors and no ac!

Originellt hotell

Great bed

Very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The garden setting is beautiful. Bedding was excellent. Suggested improvement would be to make breakfast a self service buffet for things like cereal, toast, etc. great stay and highly recommended. Many thanks.

Ambiente fantastico in un giardino tropicale
