Walk, bike or kayak to the Duck shops, boardwalk and restaurants (about a mile). Amazing peaceful location with access to everything. Beautiful views, adjustable vibrating beds with luxury mattresses, spa bathrooms, indoor pool, tennis, pickleball, basketball, fishing/relaxing pier & beach & sound toys galore! New to VRBO but 5 stars on Airbnb! Welcome to our beautiful home in Duck in North Carolina’s Outer Banks! Duck is a gorgeous and fun little town. It is highlighted as one of the most charming summer beach vacations on the east coast. Our family has been coming here for over 40 years. It has always been a dream for us to own a little piece of heaven here in Duck and it finally came true! We love it here and enjoy sharing our tranquil waterfront home with other families. You will be staying in our dream home and we take care of it as such. What that means is that we finished an extensive renovation to create a spa like experience and include free amenities the whole family can enjoy. You will arrive to a kitchen with all the appliances you need. The silverware, dinnerware, and utensils are renewed each season so you can enjoy meals with your family as you would at home. The garage is stocked with everything you need to enjoy the beach and the sound including but not limited to chairs, umbrellas, kayaks, paddle board, and boogie boards. You do not have to haul things here from home or pay for additional rentals and purchases. It is all already here for you so you can simply relax and enjoy. Our small beautiful community has an indoor pool (open mid-May through mid-October), fishing/relaxing pier, basketball, and a tennis and pickleball court. It is a quick walk across the street to the ocean and beautiful beach. If you'd prefer to drive, we are pleased to announce that starting November 2023 we now have free and easy beach parking. After all the years we’ve been coming to the outer banks, we believe we found the perfect waterfront vacation spot and our guests have told us time and time again that they love it here and that we are by far the best value for waterfront accommodations in Duck. Master – King sized zero gravity adjustable vibrating bed with luxury mattress. En suite bath with huge spa shower featuring an 18 inch rain shower with led lights that change based on the water temperature and six body sprayers. Sound view and deck with hammock off the master bedroom. Room two – Queen sized zero gravity adjustable vibrating bed with luxury mattress. Room three – Queen sized zero gravity adjustable vibrating bed with luxury mattress. Single day bed with additional single trundle. Both with very comfortable mattresses. Second renovated full bath with shower/tub, rain shower, and separate vanity area. There are two TVs and wifi internet access. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The beach was rough after the hurricane for the first few days we were there but we still had plenty to do in the area thanks to Meredith’s recommendations! We went to the acquarium, wild horses tour of Corolla, Dolphin tour and fishing tour off Manchese Marina, flew a kite at Jockey Ridge park, went to minigolf and arcade. Once the beach calmed down towards the end of the week we enjoyed our time swimming, the beach is beautiful and not crowded. Our favorite restaurants were Paper Canoe and Blue Point. The location was perfect for spending time on the sound and beach as well as all over the barrier islands. We also enjoyed a fabulous morning with Wild Horse Adventure Tours to see the Spanish Mustangs of Corolla as well as delicious dinners at Sunset Cafe and Village Tavern and Table, both are waterfront. The view from the condo through the picture window and out on the screened in porch are mesmerizing night and day, especially sunset. We watched sunsets every evening from the pier, we walked to the beach on ocean side as well as into town on the convenient walking trail. We also fished from open ocean side and bay side and my son caught a baby drum, 2 skates and a huge channel cat fish (all right off the bay side pier).
