'Dolphin View' is a 2 bedroom (loft can be used as 3rd bedroom), 2 bath condo located in Duck, NC. The condo has the biggest loft in Barrier Island. Incredible direct ocean views! First Level: Great Room w/Flat Screen TV, Sliding Door to Outdoor Space w/Amazing Ocean Views, Dining Area seats 8, Kitchen w/Breakfast Bar seats 4, Bedroom w/Queen, Semi-Private Hall Bath. Second Level: Bedroom w/Queen, Loft w/2 Twins (used as 3rd bedroom), Laundry w/Washer & Dryer, Full Hall Bath. In addition to its wonderful oceanside location, Barrier Island Station offers a wide array of amenities including: large outdoor pool & baby pool, & hot tub, steam room, game room, fitness room, tennis courts, basketball, shuffleboard, grill areas, and fish cleaning tables (see a complete list below). Additionally, there is a large sundeck and an ocean view snack bar that is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and a handicap ramp to the beach. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Very short walk to pool and beach, and both were gorgeous. Note that you'll have to walk up to the 3rd floor for this rental. And if you'll be cooking, bring your favorite cutting board (they have glass boards), tupperware, garlic press, etc. Bring sports gear if you like tennis or ping pong. The condo was nicely decorated and the layout was perfect for my family. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Wine stains and spills were all over the master bedroom floor and all the walls and doors needed a good cleaning and had debris everywhere. I also specifically asked if there was an iron and ironing board available before we arrived and when there wasn’t one I called the management company to request we get one but basically we were told “too bad”.
