It is an amazing location (right off the boardwalk, walkable to restaurants, shops and the beach) and a stunning view. It has a great layout with bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space. Between the 5 of us, we represented three generations from 5 years old to 75 years and it was a great stay for us all. Huge thanks to the owners, who made a special trip to bring us some new chairs to replace a few broken ones, They were incredibly responsive to our need and great to work with. This is such a unique rental...located on the second floor of a small commercial building in the heart of Duck. Downstairs is a real estate company/upstairs is the beautiful apartment. Once there, we never had to use our car. Just steps away from the sound and boardwalk, we walked for donuts and coffee in the morning and ice cream at night. From our porch, we had front row seats to awesome sunsets and gulf life, from birds to boats. Across the street an amazing variety of restaurants and shops awaits and the ocean is just a short walk down a private street. There are uneven door sills between bedrooms & hall, causing me to trip & fall, badly injuring my knee. I had to go to urgent orthopedic care for xray. I couldn’t bike the entire vacation. No screens meant we couldn’t open the windows during beautiful cool weather. Inside was very clean; outside (windows, steps) were very dirty. There was no place to put clothes except hangers in alcoves ( shorts, tees, socks, underwear??). We appreciated having bedding & towels provided. We couldn’t find a can opener in the kitchen. The apartment sleeps six, but there were only two cheap plastic chairs on the deck. And they blew all over during the storm. It would have been nice to sit out & enjoy the view.
