Central location
This hotel is a very pleasant place to stay. The rooms are large and comfortable and include not just a very comfortable bed but a comfortable sofa. The bathroom had a good shower and a large bath. The only disadvantage is there is not lift and we were on the second floor. Breakfast was continental style with plenty of choice and a lovely dining room. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent stay
Our stay was very enjoyable. It is a very nice hotel. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was also very good. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is also very close to the centre of Kiel.

This was overall a nice stay @ basic city hotel. The breakfast was included in the room rate and was unexpectedly good. Room was petite but quite comfy.

Pleasant stay!
This isn't a luxury hotel but that's reflected in the price. My room was small and no-frills but completely serviceable. Single bed with a Picasso poster above the bed, a desk, a sunny window, and an IKEA storage unit plus a private bathroom with shower. I was very comfortable here. You can here some noise the hallways (comings and goings) but it didn't stand in the way of me getting a good night's sleep. Breakfast is included in the price and there's a nice selection of food served in a nice space. The concierge was very helpful and friendly. I was trying to arrange a car share out of Kiel due to the DBahn train strikes and having a lot of trouble because of my limited German skills. The lady who works there during the daytime went out of her way to help me. Location is good -- a five minute walk from the plaza with the opera house and Rathaus (Ratskeller?). I would definitely recommend this hotel to any budget travelers to Kiel!

There is parking directly behind the hotel and WiFi is included. Breakfast has everything one needs. The rooms are clean and do not have carpets - nice! I will stay there again when being in Kiel.

Very good basic hotel.
This was a very good basic hotel. We have stopped at 2 others in Kiel and this was the best. They do not speak much English (we do not speak German) but they spoke sufficient for us to be able to understand each other. They offer coffee during the day but when we came back fairly late in the evening you could not get a drink as it was laid up ready for breakfast. It would also be nice to have hot water and the choice of being able to make tea or hot chocolate instead of coffee ( although the coffee was also nice.) It would be nice to have a mirror in the bedroom by the dressing table as the only mirror is in the bathroom and not convenient for doing hair, make up when someone else is in the shower. We enjoyed the complimentary fruit on the desk - beautiful apples.

Very "Basic" Hotel
Tiny room, dirty carpet, uncomfortable bed, no elevator. Only highlight was the included breakfast buffett which was excellent.

Basic Hotel in Kiel is a great deal
The Basic Hotel in Kiel was anything but basic. The room was lovely, with adequate space, storage and seating and a large bath with shower. TV included BBC World. Breakfast was included in the price. We were even able to park our car in their private parking area for 5 euros per day, which was a great deal

really small rooms, you can reach the walls with your arms, but the breakfast was great, a big variety of items---------for one or two days its okay, but I wouldn´t recommend it to stay for a week....

Aan de straatkant, veel hard pratende mensen op straat en in het hotel jongerengroep luidruchtig, maar begreep geen mensen bij de receptie, ik denk dat een nachtwaker belangrijk is

Bra hotell. Synd att de inte fanns hiss. Vi bodde på 3 våningen med barn. Blev några vändor för att få med allt upp. men fint rum och stort.

Freundlicher Empfang. Keine Parkmöglichkeit in der Nähe Möblierung ist stark heruntergekommenen. Zimmer im 3.Stock ohne Fahrstuhl (anstrengend) !!!!!! Gutes Frühstücksbüffet Sehr günstiger Preis für 2 Personen ( 86 € ) insgesamt.

Service und Frühstück klasse! Zimmer zweckmäßig.
Wir waren für eine Nacht hier, aufgrund der Kieler Woche. Für den nächsten Tag hatten wir einen Schiffstörn gebucht und konnten den Parkplatz auch für diesen Tag mieten (7,-/Tag), das war sehr praktisch, da Kiel quasi voll bis oben hin war. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet; Betten sauber und ordentlich. Das Bad war ok, für eine Nacht und 3-Sterne vollkommen ok. Dafür war das Frühstück sehr gut, von warmen, gekochten Eiern über Käse, Wurst, Obstsalat und knackigen Brötchen bis hin zu Kaffeespezialitäten aus der Jura war alles dabei. Dies hat uns gefallen. Wie gesagt: Service und Frühstück klasse! Zimmer zweckmäßig.

Parksituation problematisch (April 2022): Nur 2 Parkplätze am Hotel (sollten vorher gebucht werden). Bauarbeiten rund um das Hotel, daher einige hundert Meter Fußmarsch zum nächsten öffentlichen Parkplatz. Sehr schöne Suite mit Sauna. Aber: Liegt in der 3. Etage und kein Aufzug.

God beliggenhed.
Forkert adr. Hjemmefra, vi kom til lukket dør/hotel og var godt trætte af det, endelig kom vi igennem på et tlfnr, og skulle så køre i 5-10 min til ny adr. Ingen forklaring på dette. Hotel pænt og rent, men ikke særlig hyggeligt. Kun få møbler, kun 1 stol på værelset, trods det vi var 2, ingen køleskab, man kunne ikke lave te/kaffe på værelse. Pga corona ville det være godt med engangs handsker ved morgenmad. Udmærket morgenmad, dog manglede bacon til æg. Men god beliggenhed og fint hotel til prisen. Parkering i P hus lige i nærheden. 36 euro for to dage.

Poor service and loud rooms
Poor service level from staff both at breakfast (was 10 min late) and no flexibility in 30 minutes late check out time. Very lound in the rooms from the hallways - overall not I place I would stay again

We are sorry about that, but when the breakfast ends at 10 o'clock, 10 minutes later all food is in the waste bin and we are not able to prepare it new in short-time. And late check-outs are problematic with the strict Corona hygiene conditions...

Hotel med bra city läge
Enkelt att checka in, trevlig personal och mycket god frukost. Rent och fräscht på rummet. Mycket svårt att hitta parkering i området. Reservera alltid parkeringsplats vid bokning.

Beim Frühstück sind wir als junges Paar darauf aufmerksam gemacht worden, Maske und Latexhandschuhe zu tragen. Die älteren Gäste trugen die Maske unter dem Kinn und keine Handschuhe und wurden, obwohl die Servicekraft direkten Kontakt mit ihnen hatte, nicht darauf hingewiesen. Nachdem wir uns beschwert hatten, zeigte sich das Personal wenig verständnisvoll und hat hinter der Wand, aber gut für uns hörbar, über uns gelästert. Im Zimmer waren eindeutig zu wenig Steckdosen und eine gereinigte Fernbedienung sieht auch anders aus. Wir hatten nur einen großen Koffer, aber für den keinen Platz zum Abstellen außer direkt im Bereich der Türe.

Wir bedauern, dass Ihr Aufenthalt nicht rundum gelungen war. Selbstverständlich müssen alle Gäste Handschuhe und Maske tragen und werden normalerweise auch sofort darauf angesprochen, wenn sie es ignorieren. Das Verhalten des Personals wird intern geregelt werden...

God belliggenhed til billige penge
Fint hotel til en billig penge. God beliggenhed. Lidt svært at varme op da de ikke havde tændt for varmwn da vi kom. Lidt skidt i krogene, men i forhold til pris og belliggenhed så var det helt fint.

Fußläufig zur Altstadt, super Service
Das Hotelteam ist sehr gut auf Wünsche eingegangen, liegt fußläufig zur Altstadt und dem Schwedenkai. Wer allerdings geheingeschränkt ist sollte wissen, dass es keinen Fahrstuhl gibt.
