Super location literally 100 yards from a bus stop, which has an hourly bus right through to midnight, with a £2 fare cap! We chose to walk in to Keswick one morning which took about 50 minutes. Check-in was great and informative, outlining options for breakfast for vegetarian & vegan choices. Breakfast was superb with quality ingredients. All freshly made. Room was perfectly equipped and had everything you could need. Great range of local toiletries. The room was large, comfortable, and cozy, and the bath was HUGE. We've stayed in hotel rooms smaller than that. Mary and Sean were very gracious hosts and helped us get our luggage up the flight of stairs. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and Mary had several selections to choose from. Her scrambled eggs with Scottish salmon on toast were my favorite. We stayed three nights and would have stayed longer if our itinerary allowed. Highly recommend this quiet comfortable place to anyone staying in the area. The room was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and the breakfast was delicious. I especially appreciated that they had gluten-free bread and sausages available (I just had to give them a heads up the night before). It was plenty big enough, good en suite facilities, very clean and a decent mattress.
