The home has been fully refurbished to an exceptional standard, and although facilities are brand new, the cottage is packed with 1970s themed décor, accessories and furnishings. The bespoke kitchen dining room, with fabulous Catbells feature wall and underfloor heating, is the perfect place to gather with family/friends and recount the days adventures while you cook and dine.The kitchen comes complete with spacious round dining table, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave, and plenty of cupboard/counter space. There is a lovely sun room overlooking the patio, and ground floor WC. The living room has two vibrant sofas, electric feature fire and smart TV. The shelving unit houses a selection of books to choose from while you enjoy some relaxation time. Moving upstairs, to the back of the cottage is the twin bedroom with brand new ensuite shower room. The master bedroom is at the front of the cottage and comes complete with king-size bed, window bench, plenty of storage and a smart TV. Both bedrooms will be made up with luxury white bed linen and fresh towels for your arrival. Head up the stairs to the second floor and younger visitors will love the little hideaway that awaits, complete with seating, beanbags, games and smart TV. It's in a perfect location, close to the shops and park (and ice-cream!) and very convenient with off street parking. The owners have done a great job refurbishing the property, the kitchen extension was a nice sun trap whilst we were there and we ate outside most nights. The bedrooms are a good size and 2 bathrooms was an added bonus. Hopefully we will return in the not too distant future! It has been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard with all that is needed for a relaxing stay in the Lakes, even down to all the maps you could ever need. We also enjoyed the outside space which was surprisingly quiet and a real suntrap. There is also the added bonus of a private parking space which is at a premium in this locality. We were never cold, it was always warm and welcoming. Standards were good right throughout. Even the parking was better than I thought it would be. If I had to nag, there could have been a Bluetooth speaker available but, perhaps, it is meant for peace and quiet. We stayed for 2 nights so I didn't bother with the WiFi. I just used my mobile data. Lovely stay. It certainly has the Wow factor with its stylish design, also private good sized parking which is always a bonus. The cottage is very well equipped and has a pretty outside area which meant we could eat outside when the weather was good. It is also within a couple of minutes walk from the high street with its ample pubs, restaurants and shops so after a days walking in the fells you can just wander out for a meal. We booked Blue Sky cottage very last minute. We had a brilliant week here in glorious sunshine and were very comfortable. The cottage is very well equipped for those who wish to cater fully for themselves and being a new to the market property everything was pristine. We made full use of the outside terrace. The parking space was great to have but rather challenging when leaving the cottage as we have a wide long vehicle. The gate moved if one of us didn't hold it and the necessary post may not be in the perfect position to delineate the parking space. Luckily we did not need the car much and it was always light when entering or exiting. Brilliant to have the maps available and I enjoyed reading one of the book selection. Instructions were clear from the owner and appreciated. The second floor space was a bonus and again comfortable. A minor point, the kitchen floor was quite sticky , maybe too much cleaning product, but definitely gleaming clean. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant. Sofa’s in the lounge looked amazing and were very comfortable. Kitchen dining area was of good size and fitted with all modern facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. King size bed in the main bedroom was great and the blinds and curtains ensured the room was pitch black overnight.
