Great stay in the Catskills
Overall, the house is very comfortable and well situated. Just a few minor complaints: no microwave, small coffee pot, no body soap, not enough shampoo, terrible smell in one of the upstairs bedrooms. The house is very spacious, fabulous porch, beautiful kitchen

A Great Space
Myself and three friends stayed at this house in Kerhonkson and had a great time. Each of us had our own large bedroom and plenty of space to gather for activities and food. The deck was a highlight, being able to sit out rain or shine and enjoy the beautiful weather. Each bedroom was stellar, with the exception of the basement bedroom which was fine (and I've stayed in much worse rooms from VRBO rentals.) The kitchen was large, but it didn't have a lot of cookware in case you were planning on cooking an elaborate meal. There was certainly enough for four guys to collectively prepare some simple foods. The grounds are very large and we were encouraged to walk them and feed the horses on the property. This is a great space for a large group of friends, or a couple of families that are looking for a spacious getaway, up in the mountains, surrounded by nature.

Beautiful Property
The house and property are beautiful - extremely well maintained and updated. The horses are an added bonus, are very friendly and come to say hello when you approach. The only thing I would note is that one of the four bedrooms is in the basement - which is cool, a bit basement-y and “buggy” so no one in my party wanted to stay down there - but we made do with the futon and couch. But I highly recommend the house and the owner was very responsive and easy to reach if needed.

Nice place, with a few shortcomings
The property and home were beautiful, but some necessities were lacking. There was no BBQ for outdoor cooking, and the coffee pot was a 5 cup Mr. Coffee. No microwave in the main kitchen, although one was located in another kitchenette in a bedroom. No ice maker or tv in living room. Do not use the butcher block counters for cutting! They are “soft”, not hardwood, and I received a large fix it bill for “damage” done by slicing a watermelon with a provided kitchen knife. Use a cutting board!
