Comfortable and convenient

Comfortable stay in an older style motel literally on the river. A great stop enroute from Sydney to Adelaide. Very quiet and plenty of dining options in town

We were bitten by bed bugs at night. Bathroom and kitchen area were aged / dirty. (Shower area) Reception staff, gentleman (potentially the owner) was unwelcoming. No friendly greeting, he spent time on his phone sending a message instead of greeting guests. Felt like we were intruding on his time instead of checking in. Reception area was dark and unkept. Would not stay here again.

I had booked a renovated front block room for 1 night stay. I arrived outside reception hours to find that I had been downgraded to an un renovated back block room. While out at dinner, the glass light shade in the shower room had fallen from tge roof and shattered over the tiled floor causing it difficult to clean to enable me to have a shower. I have since been accused of smashing the shade from the roof. There was alot of dead bugs and dirt under the bed that had never been cleaned. Both Expedia and the property accept and responsibility for the downgrade in room type claiming that I had actually been upgraded into this larger, dirty and hazardous room. Additionally there are dirty ashtrays out the front of every room, so much for booking non-smoking. Having tried to seek compensation and refund from Expedia, you get the run around from may customer service agents and the property itself stating a no refund policy. Under Australian Consumer Law this is incorrect as they must offer a refund as they did not provide the product I had purchased being a renovated room. All in all, stay here at your own risk. Kerang has alot more cleaner and safer options. Also make sure you book direct with a property as using a 3rd party booking agent like Expedia, will only cause additional obstacles if you have a genuine complaint.lastly, if you do happen to leave something in your room after departure, such as a phone charger, you will never see it again. Very poor experience.

Spacious property with lovely staff. Kid friendly place. Food at the restaurant was lovely too. I loved the cleanliness of the linen and the toilets. Tea, coffee and cookies provided. Neat and tidy. Close to the city centre and Woolworths

Surprisingly wonderful

Fantastic convenient central location.Decent restaurant on site. Otherwise close enough to the town centre and several options for food and shopping. One thing to remember is that the shops and restaurants tend to close earlier than in the larger centres.

Loved the restaurant, best steak I've had in 10 years, staff where very friendly, wasn't very happy with shower facility, and the pool was empty even though it was 27 that day. And a little difficult to get in and out of the toilet.

Always knew of this place when visiting grandparents. My grandfather used to work at the old Market Garden next door. For what we needed (a place overnight), this was better than expected. The sink was a bit small and we had to fill water bottles with the shower instead, and i worry about having a same kitchen and bathroom sink However, aside from some cobwebs and a crack in the door through which you could see daylight, my room was in good shape. The WiFi is better than some cheap resorts on the Gold Coast, and for $130 for three of us to stay a night, that's wuite5the bargain. My last relative passed away, and that was the reason for our visit, so I can't promise a reason to be back any time soon, but I was more than satisfied with what we got, and would like to return.
