Each bedroom has a Queen size bed with new, high quality mattresses and the pullout couch in the living room is also a Queen size. Beautiful furnishings, designed by NestEgg Designs, make the experience on the other side of your keypad protected private entrance as memorable as the coastal treasures provided by nature. The chef-inspired kitchen with new stainless steel appliances is stocked with all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and dishes needed to cook delicious seaside meals. Serve your culinary delights with a side of paradise in a dining area with panoramic ocean views and a sliding door that opens up to the lanai. For a complete oceanfront dining experience, pull up a chair on the lanai dining table or gather around the outdoor seating area. Allow the Hawaiian sea breeze to accompany your views of the beautiful lava rock cliffs and black sands of your paradise retreat. There are two comfortable and stylish bedrooms from which to choose. The first bedroom features ocean views, a queen bed, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, dimmable reading lights and air conditioning. The second bedroom has ocean views, a queen bed, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, dimmable reading lights, air conditioning and an office desk for your dedicated workspace. Freshening up is a joy in the well-appointed bathroom featuring soft towels, hairdryer, toiletries including (Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash) and other travel amenities like sunscreen and bug spray for your beach excursions and rainforest hikes. Please keep the doors and windows closed at all times for two reasons. 1\. The salt spray from the ocean is highly corrosive and will destroy your electronics and anything metal in no time including the appliances in the rental. 2\. We can go from a beautiful sunny day to torrential sideways rain in no time! You will want the doors and windows closed when this happens. Please turn the Air Conditioning/Dehumidifier off when you leave and when you are not using it. Hawaii has the highest electricity rates in the country, so please help with this! Our entire property is a non-smoking environment. If you need to smoke, please smoke outside the front gate near the street and dispose of your cigarettes afterward in the trash can. The kitchen was very well stocked, the master bed was cozy and comfortable, & to have a washer/dryer half way in our trip was great. We were greeted with delicious chocolate macadamia nuts as well as macadamia wine. Yum! This home is about a 20min from Hilo, and we found the drive to be worth it to stay here. If you walk left out of the property, you will head to a wonderful park with tide pools overlooking the water (about 1 mile) and if you go right, you will find a trail that takes you also to the water with incredible views and a super cool lava arch. A truly special time! The view of the ocean is breathtaking — you can hear the waves crashing into the cliffs at night, which made for the most peaceful sleep. The dark skies were filled with stars, making the nights feel truly magical.The home itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully accommodating. The property manager was incredibly communicative and offered us many helpful suggestions throughout our stay. It’s about a 30-minute drive to Hilo, where we spent most of our time exploring, and the nearest grocery store was conveniently just 15 minutes away.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene, scenic escape! ##### Ayaka M. The location is stunning (not just because it’s in the nicest part of the neighborhood) and the constant sounds of waves crashing just outside the back door was heavenly. I spent a lot of time on the patio staring into the beauty of it all. The unit was incredibly comfortable (I didn’t even miss my own bed) and the kitchen was stocked with all the things we needed. Chase left us a great welcome gift and also had a wonderful guide with great recommendations for anything and everything to do around the Hilo side of the island.
