A nice, pleasant hotel with great service
We returned to to Stratos, as we had a great time last summer. The location is great, quiet but just two minutes away from bustling Athitos. It's pleasant colourful hotel, offering a nice breakfast buffet with homemade local delicacies and everything it says.

The property is stunning, clean and the staff are amazing. They helped us with all our enquiries including finding us wheelchair hire for our mum who was struggling with her back. Nothing was too much trouble and we will for sure be returning next year

We'd return to Stratos for another holiday
All my friends and myself enjoyed our stay very much... location is great, service is great, what you need for a perfect holiday... some little details can be improved but overall a great experience. The 'greek' breakfast definitely worth trying.

Afytos is a gem
Lovely welcoming hotel made all the more special by the friendly and attentive staff who greet and serve with a smile. Rooms are basic but cleaned and serviced every day with new towels provided every couple of days. Hotel is very close to the centre of the beautiful and very quaint village and is a 10 minute walk from the beach. Those who are less able bodied, elderly, or with young children, should be aware that the beach is downhill from the village and the walk back up can be pretty exhausting. If you have your own transport then it's not a problem as a road leads directly to the beach. Plenty of quality restaurants in the village, i would particularly recommend Soboro, excellent food, great beer and Nancy's delicious puddings! Afytos is a gem and The Stratos is very much a home from home. We hope to visit again very soon.

Decent hotel in a great small town
I don't often take the time to write reviews, but given that I chose this hotel based on the online reviews, I feel obligated to do so. It appears to be family owned hotel in the middle and a wonderful old town on the coast. Honestly, I'm a little shocked by all the great reviews, perhaps American standards are different. It was by far the most uncomfortable bed I've slept in on my trip, very dated and basic room. I have mixed feelings about the staff, some very present ( did their best to address the concerns I had) some extremely rude. Overall, not a place I would ever return to! I've traveled extensively throughout Europe for the past 25 years, I've stayed in hostels in my college years that had cleaner bathrooms. For the price, you can find much better places in Greece.

Dear Miriana, Thank you for visiting us. We are sorry that you had difficulties during your stay with us. We apologize that the shower curtain was not thoroughly cleaned on the bottom of it. We should have noticed it before your check in. However, as soon as you informed us about it we immediately changed it and we apologized for this omission. We do know that it’s impossible for a hotel to please everybody but we are doing our best for every single guest separately, as we did with you as well. It is true that the great majority of our guests are European and perhaps American standards are different (perhaps you prefer different types of beds for example). The truth is that until now we never had any issue concerning our cleanliness (we don’t know if some spots on the bottom of the shower curtain are enough to conclude that your room or our premises in general are not clean enough), staff or bedding. Good value central hotel
Decent location close to village Main Street. Hotel has many facilities and services associated with larger establishments and tries hard to please. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean, nicely furnished, probably renovated in recent years, bathrooms decent, though a little dark, and beds/pillows comfortable. Many of the balconies not really balconies, just a railed off space on the walkways.

I have never seen people like the staf, alwals with a smile, quite, warm. Only the space of the room was small, room For two. The water of the pool was very clean.

nice hotel in good location
STRATOS is a real surprise! very close to the main road you would not expect to find such an oasis to relax, and its only a 2 minutes walk from the center of Afitos, a beautiful small village with many nice restaurants, and of course beach. Clean room, balcony with pool view, separated parking, reliable wifi ... we didnt stay for breakfast or dinner, but definitely a place to come again and try

Friendly staff, great value
Really enjoyed our stay & found the staff very helpful and welcoming - definitely felt like individual guests rather than just a room number. Good breakfast choice and, although we didn't realise until the end of our stay, the hotel does also offer a limited evening meal menu. Room very clean with frequent towel & bed linen changes. Great pool with plenty of sun loungers & never busy - also specified 'quiet times' which we thought was a good idea. Very short walk into main town area with plenty of restaurants close by and 10-15 mins to lovely beach. Would definitely stay at the Stratos again.

it's OK, close to the shops and restaurants
we stayed there for 5 nights in August '12 , nice location if you have a car to go the the beach (8 min drive) which is a small, quiet but nice beach, and walking distance to shops and restaurants in the heart of the village. The room we stayed 205 was so small with no view to the pool, the shower tab was extremely small as well, not what we expected of course, and there was water everywhere on the floor. Anastasia from the reception is amazing, she'll speak a couple of languages and give you all the directions, maps and guide you with the surroundings.

Great hotel close enough to the beach
Thought the hotel was great. Friendly service, breakfast perfect for kick-starting the day, and general comfort wasn't in question. Wi-fi in public spaces, but easily reached our room. Pool in centre of hotel. Beach about a 10-15 minute walk away, through the town. Enjoyed our stay!

Güzel bir tatil için Stratos
Çok misafirperver insanlardı. Kahvaltı çok güzel ve hergun değişim çeşitlerden oluşuyordu. Yer olarak mahalle arasında ama çok temuz bir tesisti. Denize yakın, yemek yerlerine yakın.

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, great breakfast with home-made pies and jams. Well taken care of rooms and pool and easy parking space (which in busy Afitos is a big plus). Overall would recommend it and will probably visit again.

Good location, but it urgently needs renovation
Relaxed hotel with decent breakfast in a good position. Nevertheless they have to work more on cleanineness and attention to details. Our room was outdated and not worth the price we have paid.

Great location close to Afitos center by few meters walking. Simple place but okey. Compare to other 2 hotels we stayed stuff were not warm just doing ur check in and Check out and hardly answering ur questions.

Koselig hotell som anbefales
Fint hotell i utkanten av den koselige landsbyen Afythos. Stille og rolig hotell, 100 m til hovedgaten. Ikke noe partyhotell, men passende for par og familier. Bra service, gode senger og praktiske rom for en familie på fire med to separate soverom, a/c i begge soverommene. Wifi fungerte bra. Ikke så stort badebasseng, men det var aldri noe problem å finne solsenger. Fint at man kan flytte solsengene i skyggen hvis man ønsker det. God og passe variert frokost. 10 min gange til stranden. Gratis hotellparkering hvis man har bil. Et lite "bibliotek" for utlån av bøker (også norske) var et pluss. God valuta for pengene.

Anything ok. We stayed at Stratos Hotel 10 days ago. The staff and especially the owner who greeted us was very polite and helpful. The room immaculate. Clean, comfortable, flat screen TV and very good Wifi internet. Nice and clean pool in the yard. Satisfactory breakfast especially homemade jams and preserves. The location of the hotel is very good with nearby parking and quiet and near the center. Satisfactory price. Whenever you visit Afitos, I will definately stay at Stratos.

Enkelt hotel med super service !
Dette er et enkelt og greit hotel. Vårt rom (familie-suite)hadde trengt en renovasjon av badet og WiFi var ikke heller så bra på rommet. Men det gjorde ingenting da jeg aldri har hatt en så søt, hjelpsom og servive-innstilt betjening. De sto på hodet og gjorde "alt" for at vi skulle ha det best mulig!!!! Frokosten er typsik gresk og helt ok. Renholdet var også bra. Søte damer som skifter sengetøy og håndklær så fort du ber om det. Dette er ikke et fancy hotel, men vi kan trygt anbefales da det har verdens mest hjelpsomme betjening som gir deg super service!!!!

πολυ καλη τοποθεσια κοντα στην σταση των λεωφορειων και στην πλατεια του χωριου. το προσωπικο ηταν πολυ φιλικο και εξυπηρετικο. το μονο αρνητικο ηταν οτι στην πισινα υπηρχαν μελισσες.

Das Viertel sieht zuerst nicht so vertrauenserweckend aus, das Hotel selber ist aber sehr schön! Besonders der mittlere Bereich mit Pool und Cocktailbar ist traumhaft. Sehr gut gefallen hat uns auch der Service: wir fühlten uns sofort willkommen und wurden mit tollen Tipps zu Restaurants und nahen Stränden versorgt. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die direkte Nähe zur Innenstadt, nach zwei Abbiegungen ist man im Fischrestaurant mit Meerblick.

Ottima l'ubicazione x soggiorno in kassandra.
Piccolo albergo, gestione familiare, Anastasia la titolare molto gentile e sempre disponibile a consigliare spiagge o taverne dove andare. Se dovessi tornare ad afitos tornerei sicuramente in qs hotel. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo

Stratos hotel
The two ladies at the reception were very welcoming, kind and helpful. The toilet didn't work and they fixed the problem immediately. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast good. It is necessary to walk a bit and go downwards to reach the beach, maybe 10-15 min. However, most hotels in Afitos have the same problem. The village of Afitos is very charming and lively so it is good to be by the village instead of by the beach. The only critic to the hotel is that there was not enough water pressure when taking a shower (our room was on the 3rd floor). We would go back to this hotel.
