Top Kardamyla Hotel Reviews

Chios Chandris Hotel

Chios Chandris Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel, good location, though a bit off from the main town, but it is a nice short walk in to the main shopping area. On the waterfront. Great views from the rooms, with balconies. Quiet. Weekends can get busy. Morning breakfast buffet, included, was decent. Very clean rooms, and housekeeping staff were very mice."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Kardamyla?
The best area to stay in Kardamyla is the village of Ano Kardamyla, located on the northern coast of Chios.

Ano Kardamyla is the heart of the region, offering a blend of traditional Greek life and convenient access to the sea. The village is built amphitheatrically on a hillside, with narrow, winding streets leading to a central square. You'll find local tavernas serving fresh seafood and traditional dishes, alongside small shops. It's a great spot to experience authentic island living.

For travellers looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning sea views, Ano Kardamyla is an excellent choice. The elevated position of the village means many accommodations offer panoramic vistas of the Aegean Sea and the coastline. It's an ideal base for exploring the surrounding natural beauty of northern Chios.

Couples often find the quiet charm of Ano Kardamyla appealing. Strolling through the historic streets, enjoying a meal at a local eatery, and watching the sunset over the sea creates a romantic setting.
When is the best time to go to Kardamyla?
The best time to visit Kardamyla is typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the crowds are smaller.

During May and June, the temperatures are warm but not excessively hot, usually ranging from 20-28°C. The sea is inviting for swimming, and the natural landscape is lush and green. This period is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the island's villages without the peak summer heat.

September and October offer similar appealing conditions, with temperatures between 22-29°C. The sea remains warm from the summer, making it superb for swimming and water sports.
