Kahana Reef 321 does not have A/C, is a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom condo on the 3rd-floor with oceanfront views! Kahana Reef offers an elevator for your convenience. Unit 321 can accommodate up to 4 guests. Fall asleep to the tropical sounds of Maui! In the master bedroom, enjoy a king-size bed and wall mounted TV with cable. The bathroom has been beautifully remodeled and offers a large walk-in shower, custom countertop and cabinets. Stay cool with tropical ocean front breezes on windy days and ceiling fans throughout; there is no AC in this unit. The living room features plenty of seating, a desk area, cable TV, plus a queen-size sleeper sofa for additional guests. This beautifully decorated and updated condo has rattan furnishings, Hawaii décor and prints. The fully equipped kitchen features custom cabinets, lighting and updated appliances, Enjoy dining inside or outdoors on your private lanai.

Kahana Reef is an oceanfront condominium situated between Kaanapali and Kapalua resort areas. Which puts you close to Maui's top beaches, dining, shopping and other attractions. Kahana Reef resort offers an oceanfront pool, BBQ area, and an on-site coin-operated laundry facility. There are no resort or parking fees.

Great location. Love Kahana Reef. Struggled with Wifi, but host got it working finally. Amenities were adequate. Couch could have been netter, but it worked out okay.

Great Stay!

The condo is just as advertised, very clean with a stunning view and My Perfect Stay was wonderful. The only drawbacks and reason for the overall 4-star was due to: only giving you 2 beach towels (we stayed 10 days); the VRBO listing stated there was a washer/dryer in the unit (there is, but locked and can't use), and the unit would get very warm in the afternoon.

You can't get any closer to the ocean with dry feet

The property is very clean and in great shape. The kitchen is very well appointed. And the view! Whales, whales everywhere and cooling tropical sea breeze make this property one of the best int he complex.

Great Location

The condo is near several good beaches, has a great view, and is comfortable. The patio door needs to be serviced and I wouldn't recommend the unit to anyone that has difficult lifting/pushing/pulling 40lbs until it is.

Just right for a couples getaway

The property was just as advertised and we enjoyed our time. We had everything we needed and appreciated the morning coffee on the lanai watching whales, dolphins and turtles. Not much access directly from the complex to a beach but was a short drive to beaches and restaurants. The living room couch could be updated but other than that - no criticism.

Kahana Reef

This property is in an excellent location. It is very clean and kept up very well. The parking lot can get very full but there always seemed to be a space. The pool was decent. We even took advantage of one of the gas grills. Everything was as advertised. Our particular unit was very nice. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need. The bedroom and living rooms were also furnished well. The unit also came with two great beach chairs and several beach towels which were much appreciated. There were a couple of related issues though that should be pointed out. One. The listing states that their is no A/C. That is accurate and was an area of concern for us, but being right on the beach we thought there was a chance the ocean breezes and ceiling fans would be enough. At night they were. During the day, it gets pretty hot. Not unbearable, but hot. As I mentioned, night brought some cooling breezes and the ceiling fans did a good job. That was until the neighborhood rooster began crowing. No, it wasn't at daybreak. It ranged from 3AM to 430AM until 7. Every morning. Now I have been to several islands in Hawaii and know that chickens there are just a part of the scene. But this was pretty bad. I am not sure if it belonged to someone or was a wild bird but it was a real source of sleeplessness for us. By day 4 we were zombies. We both grew up in very rural areas and never experienced anything quite like it. Beware.

Great property at a great location!

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Kahuna Reef. I love sitting on the balcony watching for turtles! The location is so close to some great snorkeling beaches and restaurants. Finally, the condo unit is very quiet. My only complaint was I wished the unit had air conditioning but I knew it didn’t going in. There are nice ceiling fans that worked well and the breeze off the water was nice too. Only had one small issue with the ice maker during our stay and the Property Manager sent a repair man over that same day! I really enjoyed my stay at Kahana Reef and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Nice place with a good view of the ocean.

Very nice place clean and great view. It was hot and air conditioning would’ve been great, but had a nice fan. It is a nice place for older couples we had to teenagers and it wasn’t the best place for teens.

Amazing view of ocean

Clean, up to date condo is right on the ocean. We can only see the water from inside the condo! Sunsets here are spectacular! There is a beach here, and we’re other great beaches are a short drive away. Great place!!!

Great Rental!

Thank you so much! This rental is very well cared for. The view from the balcony is amazing. We were able to watch sea turtles from balcony. This unit is also so conveniently located to access the beach right next door. Overall we are very happy.

Amazing!

I love this condo! The kitchen was well stocked. We cooked there most meals and had all the things we needed. The lanai is perfect with an amazing view. The beach is down to the right and great sand. Conveniently located between Lahaina and Kapalua. I would definitely stay again!

Watch Whales from Your Lanai

Perfect view, very close to the water. Probably the best location within this complex. Pretty close quarters for two adults. Lanai was smaller than expected and could use new furniture. Kitchen and bathroom were newly remodeled but bathroom is small, but the unit is small so not much you can do about it. The decor is attractive but the sleeper sofa was pretty uncomfortable to sit on. Excellent laundry facilities for the complex. The pool is small. Nice elevators.

Whale Watching in Paradise

Our family enjoyed watching the whales from the deck the most. The beach just next to us was great. Mostly calm waves with the reef. We didn't spend a ton of time in the condo. It was mostly just for sleeping. We loved the convenient location for beach, restaurant and grocery access. The Chinese restaurant across the street was super tasty too!

Don't expect a restful sleep or power here

The only good thing about this condo is the view. But please don't get lured by any special rates for this condo because you will pay more for your troubles while staying. There was always an issue here. The bed was horrible, worse than what you would imagine a Motel 6 would have. It basically sunk and the bedframe creaked every time you moved. We felt every spring digging into our backs as we tossed and turned. After a long flight, this is not what you want. After reaching out to the management company the following day, they initially offered no viable solutions. They ended up provided a memory foam becauseof my persistence, but it was so thin that you still felt the springs. The General Manager claimed that I was the first person to report this problem and said beds are subjective. Well looking at just the November reviews, 2 mentioned the awful bed. The company and the owner didn't care for our terrible nights. On the third night, we had no electricity in the master bedroom. My husband needs it for his sleep machine so he was forced to sleep on the sleeper sofa, which was worse than the bed. Our night time routine for our toddler was thrown off. Plus, we had no ceiling fan so thick air all through the night. Again, another sleepless night. We felt like zombies during the whole time because of this place. Several calls into the night and the following morning to get the electricity repaired. Crazy ridiculous. We're supposed to be on vacation. Also, the railing isn't safe for any small child. So be aware. We note that there are paint cans store in the bedroom closet. Why do you want to subject your guests to paint fumes? I urge everyone to avoid this condo and anytime you see the property management "A perfect stay" became they don't care about guests at all.
