The county road to the cabin is pretty primitive but totally worth it. Kayaks were a great perk and fishing from the dock was fun, even if we didn't catch anything. Kitchen was well appointed and the bathrooms were large and super clean. No need to take towels or shampoo or soap or toilet paper/paper towels; all provided. Those are little things that set this property a step above most. Comfy couches in the living room made watching movies at night enjoyable. Beds were comfy and AC worked well. 20 minutes from Jefferson and 30 minutes from the lake was convenient. We really enjoyed the wildlife. We saw gators, herons, egrets, frogs, deer, humming birds, etc. We will definitely be back. ##### Molly S. The property was 100% as represented. The kitchen has everything you would ever need to cook with. I really liked that you could always find a shady spot on 1 of the 3 decks/dock available. The highlight of the trip for us were seeing a red headed woodpecker, Anhinga aka water turkey and so many bright yellow warblers that would come right up on the deck next to you.
