Plough Cottage is a charming and cozy getaway for the family at a cheap price
10/10 Excellent
"The house was neat and clean and the kitchen well provisioned. The host was very thoughtful, from his thorough directions to the welcome basket. It’s a nice spot within the Inlet township with easy access to the lake and a short drive into Jamieson. Whilst staying we dined at the Jamieson Brewery and The Courthouse Hotel, both of which had good pub menus. We wandered around the pretty township of Jamieson and visited Mansfield Zoo. We also cast a line into the water (I’m not sure if you have to catch anything for it to count as fishing), but it was quite tranquil. An enjoyable stay. "
"Really enjoyed our stay in the yellow cottage. It's simple and relaxing, at a nice spot 15 minutes out of Mansfield. The bread, biscuits and muffins were brilliant. Do recommend."
AROONA FLATS - Modern Home On Acerage With Private River Frontage
10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Aroona Flats was amazing! The house was impeccable and luxurious. Thank you for the thought you've put into fitting out the house with comfort and relaxation in mind. The property grounds were so beautiful. We spent heaps of time on the deck, using the BBQ, waving at the cute cows, swimming in the river, and star gazing. "
"House was awesome, off street parking big bedrooms, kitchen and laundry stocked with washing detergents, dishwasher tablets salt pepper, would definately stay again"
"The cottage was just what we hoped it would be; charming, clean, well appointed with a ideallic outlook. We look forward to visiting again for a longer stay. Thank you Andy and Penny for a most relaxing break."
"The host, Maggie made contact on several occasions in the lead up to our stay, to ensure we were ok with the weather conditions (due to recent fires in Victoria). The weather was forecast to be in the high 30's. The accommodation on Stayz was advertised as having air-conditioning however it did not, which we were not told about until after we arrived (a 3.5 hour drive from home). The property became unbearably hot during the first day with inside temperatures at more than 32 degrees. To cool off I decided to have a cold shower only for a centipede to appear in the shower and crawl towards my legs. This was quite frightening. In addition there were several live huntsman in the cottage and we were concerned that the place was not adequately fumigated for pests. With the heat/ lack of air conditioning and many insects, we were not comfortable and decided to leave on the first night. We messaged Maggie when we returned home about the issues and never received a response back or any acknowledgement about our experience. In addition, whilst Maggie was welcoming, it also came across as too much and really didnt allow us to relax. We were extremely disappointed about our stay. It was not what we expected and would not recommend "
