Rm#226-4 day stay. The Bathroom had uncompleted work done to 1. BR Ceiling needed painting after putty applied. 2. Drywall under BR sink missing section of Sheetrock. 3. Shower needed a lot of touch up work with a quarter size area Under the corner of the glass door having an area of Rust or What appeared to be Blood in color! I stayed for 4 days in that room & was Disgusted by the Bathroom & the Carpets throughout the room & whole Hotel! I expected more from a Marriott! Staff was nice. The Only other issue I had was trying to locate while walking…the building I was in, the front office…from my building & the breakfast room as I could see no numbers/letters on any buildings…similar to how apartment complexes do to differentiate between buildings! I asked a maintenance staff for help one day who was nice.. but due to a language barrier he didn’t fully understand me & wasn’t a lot of help. Very Confusing…I can’t be the Only one with that issue! Please label buildings & hand out a Map when u check in!

The rug in my unit was smelly. I bought a febreeze plug in to mask the odor! I do not consider it a big deal. But, the next guests might. Thank you for an outstanding stay!!

Rude/ unprofessional
My husband and I was trying to check in at the hotel around 2am in the morning. We drove 4 hours to get there from South Carolina. The lady who was working that night was so rude. She didn’t let us check in and or helped us out at all. So we ended up having to cancel our hotel at 2 in the morning and had to drive 4 hours back to South Carolina because all the other hotels in Jacksonville were sold out. Never in my life I ever experienced this. This left a bad taste in my mouth. She really messed up our mini vacation. We wanted a mini vacation before our child is due in less than 2 months.

Be watchful of cleaning staff
We stopped to visit my brother and sil on our way to Orlando so we stayed here one night. Alicia was very accommodating. The room was fine, couldn’t get hot water right away. However, we left my friends medication in the fridge and when I called later in the day of our check out to ask about it, they said it wasn’t there. So the cleaning staff took it. I called the police and they are following up. It was our fault for failing to get it, but it was theft on the part of the cleaning staff.

The shower design is ridiculous. Only 1 door covers half of the shower area, water runs out through the open half, soaking the floor. Management told me all of the showers in the hotel are the same, so switching rooms no help.

Enjoyed our almost week long stay for the most part. Appreciated the use of the pool and hot tub (the area around the pool could be cleaner) as there were cigarette butts everywhere as the outdoor smoking area was close by. Breakfast was generally good each day. The room was clean and comfortable however I think that housekeeping could better. The hotel is showing a little age (wear and tear) in places (fitness center) and outdoor grills need to be fixed as both were not working. Overall we would return as the value for money is good and the staff in general were very nice. In addition the location near the St. John’s Town Center is very convenient.

The room and service was amazing but the breakfast was not very good, i did not enjoy the sausages or the bagels. The hot water machine wasnt working and there was no vanilla cream for my coffee.
