"We were just there for one night, to enjoy dinner and attend a concert, but enjoyed our stay. We will certainly stay there when we have time to return to explore Blennerhasset Island. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found the servers to be excellent both times. The food was also generous and delicious. We would only suggest that the she crab soup have the expected chunks of crabmeat rather than crabmeat that seemed to have been ground up."

"We came back to our hotel room around 8:00 pm. My husband deadbolt the door and opened the doorstop because we were in for the night. At about 9:00 pm, without knocking or prior notice, a front desk employee opens the door to our room. He had a step in the doorway with his shoulders and head into the room before he noticed us. He said a quick “sorry” then shut the door again. My husband went into the hallway to investigate. The employee stated that “usually there are not guests in that room” and that he was looking for a hair dryer. When my husband went to speak with the general manager about the incident, we were blamed for not securing the room properly. We examined the door more closely and discovered two things. First, the deadbolt was not aligned with the door frame and although we thought we heard it click to lock, we were actually hearing the deadbolt being pushed into the side of the door frame. Secondly, the door stop hinge was so loose that the door could still slide through, despite us opening the clip. My husband attempted to explain both door flaws to the general manager but he refused to view the door while we were there. After ongoing discussions with the general manager, eventually he said he could provide a $20 discount from our total bill, but that we had to request the reimbursement through the third party booking company ourselves and he would approve the release of funds. We will not return."

"The hotel appeared nice, there did appear to be a bee/wasp nest near one of the exits. Otherwise the breakfast was really good (the coffee was just ok), the outdoor areas were well kept, the pool was clean and comfortable. The room was nice enough, though we got a suite expecting a full living area and a separate bed area. The room felt very cramped and appeared to be a normal sized room with a wall in the middle. The separation didn't even have a door so there was no real privacy. I would have rather saved money and payed for a regular room."

"Clean and comfy bed. Breakfast was little on the light side but it was hot and bout as expected. I will definitely recommend and will stay again. Very convienant, right off the freeway. "

"My husband and i loved our stay this place is really charming, clean, beautifully appointed. Perfect 4plex right on the ohio river , great views , big deck to enjoy morning coffee . Open gourmet kitchen nice little living room/ dining area. Nice entryway Large 1 bedroom with view and balcony doors . The Bed was sooo comfortable! Loved the bedding You can tell that the owners/host put a lot of care into making things special for their guests. Great fast communication with Host . Close to the charming town of Marietta. We will definitely stay again "

"Loved everything about the Hackett! Stayed in the Riley Suite and it was gorgeous! Had everything my sister and i needed for a perfect getaway and great location. Ate at the Galley twice and awesome food and service. "
