Hi Thomas...we never like guests to have anything other than a 5-star experience and we work very hard to achieve that goal. I see there was was a noise complaint from your neighbors as the result of your unattended dogs - unfortunate for sure. We love doggos, but know that many do not like to be left alone in an unfamiliar place. For the comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow dogs to be left behind in guest rooms. We are sorry you disgree with the policy that you agreed to at check-in.

I paid the extra for a sitting area in my room, while that was nice the extremely small table and chairs for food or working was not adequate. I love the hotel, choose to stay there every time I'm in town, but it'd be nice to have a full work station when paying to upgrade rooms.

We are sorry that you feel that way. Our pet fee is very middle of the road in this resort town and we really try to pack a stay with thoughtful amenities for guests & their pups! A portion of the pet fee is donated to our local Animal Adoption Center to help less fortunate dogs & cats find a home...you did a good deed:-)

I paid for two nights in advance on Expedia. We travel with our small, 14 year old terrier mix rescue dog. I was shocked at check in when told there was a $50/DAY charge at this "PET FRIENDLY" Lodge. The "pet friendly" designation on Expedia is extremely deceiving.

Was only able to stay for one night but absolutely loved this property! From the 7 outdoor fire pits to the hot tubs, heated pools and amazing outdoor spaces I didn’t want to leave. Definitely a 60’s camp vibe which I love ! The on-site saloon , burger joint and drive up liquor store was spot on. Would love to stay here again!

Very nice place, though overpriced, like everything in Jackson. And the basic room tidying doesn't even include making the bed unless you request it! No plastic cups or glasses to brush one's teeth. Great pool and Hot tub.

Don’t stay here!!! This properties rates are very high for what you get. I’ve seen better for cheaper. We expected more for $400 a night. The room didn’t even have a microwave. The fridge had no freezer section. The furniture was worn and old. The lighting was dim and poor. The cleaning staff was negligent and didn’t provide daily linen change unless requested. We didn’t get fresh coffee or cups each day. The coffee pot was ancient. The hallways were dim, carpet worn and filthy. Security door to building was left open all the time. Parking lot had trash all over. What a terrible place for $400 a night.

The Virginian Lodge just completed a complete renovation meaning that all of our furniture is brand new. We have 18 room types - some of which have microwaves if that is a priority & our tea kettles are the modern Fellow brand. Housekeeping service is explained at check-in and provides a daily refresh (trash removed and towels replaced) unless full housekeeping is desired. Jackson Hole is an expensive destination and The Virginian Lodge is proud to offer affordable accommodation packed with value-added amenities. We are sorry that we weren't a match for you.

Older property but decent place to stay
Stayed three nights and had no issues. The property is older but everything in our room worked properly and the bed was comfortable. The shower was nice: with a nice shower head and hand held wand. We had breakfast at the Virginian restaurant twice and had good meals.
