« The hotel is not quite "ekimae" (in front of the station), but it's only a couple of blocks away. Friendly and solicitous staff went a long way toward making my stay enjoyable. And the price-performance is good, especially when Hiroshima hotels are full or crazily priced. One thing: I had to book a "smoking" room, because all the non-smoking rooms were booked. There's a reason they were all booked, Japan hoteliers: no one wants a smoking room, not even smokers. End smoking in hotel rooms! »

« My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property. »

« We came here for the biking and loved this hotel. It’s not easy to get to by public transport. You’ll want a taxi. The rooms are nice and large by Japan standards. The food was amazing. You don’t pick from a menu but they serve many different kinds of food. It is seafood focused. So if you don’t like seafood it might not be the place for you. We love Japanese style food so we were amazed. Definitely a highlight of our trip. »
