The interior courtyard housed a serene Japanese garden. Shower and onsen bath are shared but there was a private toilet in our room. The hostess was extremely gracious and gave us a tour of the shower area. Rooms came with yukatas, slippers, bottled water, and individual lemon cakes for all guests. The only caveat is that the buckwheat pillows were small and flat. The ladies that welcomed us were kind and warm. When we arrived, the first lady showed us all the place around and she answered all our questions always willing to help even when she does not speak English and we do not speak Japanese. When we left, a second lady helped us finding a place to have breakfast. I would have been happy to spend another night in this place exploring the town. Lovely breakfast that was Japanese style. In a nice area with lots of dinner options.
