Wonderful property with top level service. Only slight criticism was a somewhat hollowed mattress on my bed in an otherwise perfect room

Incredibly convenient for entertainment and travel (besiktas ferry terminal on the doorstep of the hotel) across the Bosphorus to all areas of interest in Istanbul . Very central for a variety of dining options,Simply marvellous.
Attentive staff no proper gift shop to purchase souvenirs from the hotel

6 of September is my birthday. I came on 5th September to shangrila to stay for 3 nights. On arrival I found I just have a room and hotel dose not have outdoor facilities .As I was in Çırağan palace the day before we had garden, outdoor pool and nice area to relax beside bosphorus . i am a frequent traveller and have stayed in very famous hotels in Istanbul, this hotel is very good when you are interested for old neighborhoods like besiktash .of course its expensive for what you get . I want to appreciate their flexibility for my booking modifications and also kindness of their staff , BTW it’s international brand. Thanks for good memory on my birthday for accepting my modification on stay. They on night I enjoyed beshiktash .
Upon checking in, the reservations desk told me my luggage was not there. They seemed relatively unconcerned and uncooperative and trying to help me find it. My driver from the orient express had to get involved, insisting on seeing the manager. Finally, someone looked in an outside storage area, and my bags were there. It was extremely stressful after the long day I had already had.
It was one the best experience I’ve had in a hotel

This hotel is located in a bustling center, all you have to do is walk across the street and you have very good shopping. The backside of the hotel is the bus for us, best place to have breakfast or lunch or dinner. The only downside is only a few of the staff speak English well, the other ones know very little English.

My name is Moussa Osman and I am emailing you in regards to my recent stay at Shangri-La Bosphorus, Istanbul. I came here with very high expectations and unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed and we'll never visit again. I felt like the hotel was a 2 star hotel at the very maximum. The service was horrible and the team was very unprofessional and rude.
Also, I had booked a room specifically the one I wanted but then was surprised to find out that it's not the same room and was charged another 600 Euros for it! So disappointing with the horrible service and treatment.
Overall, I am very dissatisfied with my short stay and my expectations were not met at all!

The familiar scent when we enter the hotel, the staff who go extra length to make you feel welcomed, and at “home”, the efficiency of checking in and out, the helpful and smiling faces of the staff, the comfortable beds, and hardworking housekeeping teams, and the delicious and consistent quality of the f and b. What not to like here?

Some of the amenities in the spa were out of order like the showers and no one bothered to fix them. Attention to detail was lacking

The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. Provided fruit upon arrival. And the service was outstanding

I do not recommend going to the Chinese restaurant on lower level due to service quality and attention to its clients Waiting staff majority not speak English and very very slow Food quality was average
