A good place to be if you would like to walk to all the historical attractions around SutanHammet. The staff were friendly, helpful courteous and just nice humans. The rooms are cozy and clean. There is no noise coming in from the street level. There were no in-dining options but there are plenty of restaurants on the same street. Thank you Aprilis for a memorable visit.

The hotel is perfectly situated to walk to the main attractions with a multitude of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was comfortable and clean, the roof terrace bar is stunning but the best factor about the hotel is the staff. Everyone was amazing but special mentions to Berdan and Elif for doing everything they could to ensure we had a great time.

Would be nice to have an iron & ironing board in each room. Also would be good to have more worktop surface space in the room as the dressing table is too small and for a lady there is not enough space to put all her makeup items and get ready too.

Enjoyable stay - the location is brilliant - so close not more than 2 mins from a tram stop - then you are connected across Istanbul. The staff are really helpful and go out of their way to help you - I can’t say enough good things about their customer service. Breakfast was pleasant and enough to give you a good start to the day. We had our elderly grandmother so my parents and them had a connecting rooms and this was very beneficial for us. Not all the rooms have a window which looks outside so check the type of room you book beforehand, economy room etc. the cleaning service was also brilliant.

Very good location. Bedding and bathroom were clean, and cleaned when requested. My only criticism is the state of the room itself was a bit dated. The floors had water damage, and the lighting in the room was very dim. It had more wear and is older than the impression you get in the pictures.

Upon arrival the receptionist told us that due to the bad weather your room is cancelled so you should switch to Aprilis Gold Hotel,this bothers me a lot because my father and mother were elderly and they cant took the whole way long! After a tough arguement i refused to go to the other hotel so they were obliged to give me my original rooms.

We really enjoyed our staying , Ismail and all the staff were excellent and very helpful .... I really recommend this hotel , especially because it is so close to the main attractions (5 to 10 min walking to the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Bacilica Cistern and the Grand Bazaar) , plus the trolley is just a few steps from the hotel, so the location is perfect!

A sweet memory in Istanbul

Great value in the heart of Sultanahmet.
Great value in Sultanahmet. Rented 2 bedrooms. They were pretty basic but cozy and functional. Bathrooms were modern but like most European standards, a little bit tight. The staff was SUPER friendly. Always willing to help in anyway. Carrying bags, answering questions, even the host went to a supermarket to buy a couple of beers for us. We had mini fridge in each room. Light train station is 5 minutes away and from there you can explore all Istanbul. Within walking distance are AyaSofiya, the Blue Mosque and tons of restaurants, bars, shops even a supermarket couple of doors down. Breakfast was pretty standard. Scrambled eggs, cheese platter, cold meats, boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, tea and bread. The whole place worked for us. It is not luxurious but it provides great location, value and included breakfast which is all we need to explore a city, since we are out all day long.

Aprilis Hotel was an amazing place with family
I stayed in the hotel with my family total of 7 people and i must admit that it was one of the most pleasant stay. Employees were very nice and helpful. I felt welcomed from the moment we walked into the receptionist and Ismail was at the desk. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, gave us information on what is around us and how to get around the city. The breakfast was very delicious and clean environment. Overall i would definitely go back and stay in the same hotel, price was reasonable, rooms were decent and bathrooms were clean. Room with a " View"
The hotel in itself is located in a good area to see the many varied attractions which are within walking distance. The room we were given 307 , had a view of a brick wall and fire exit stairs. This was very disappointing as we had requested a room with a view almost 6 months prior to arriving. As a result the room was very dark and we had to request 2 table lamps but they only gave us one. The lighting in the room was poor. The fridge freezer was full of ice and never ever really got cold. They could have defrosted the fridge. It has built up over the months. Suggestion: Defrost freezer regularly. The beds were firm and ok. The bathroom was fine except the sink had a massive crack inside it. May I suggest management replace the sink? Shower was nice and powerful. The AC made a noise even when it was switched off. It always sounded like it was on it's last leg and about to go down.But it held out during our stay. The buffet breakfast was average. Nothing great as very monotonous with same food every day during our 7 day stay there. Boiled eggs,scrambled eggs,mushrooms,bread,cereal etc It started at 7.30 am ,but never was it ready then. Even when you came down after and hour ,you had to wait on the scrambled eggs and the mushrooms. If it starts at 7.30 am , I suggest the staff have it all prepared by then. I disliked asking them when it was coming out. Coffee machine broke down and it remained that way over whole weekend as no-one was available to fix it. Pretty poor show.

From the receptionist who will run out to help us with the pushchair after we returned from shopping to the catering team who were very attentive and quick to clear tables. The reason I am not giving the hotel 5 star review is because of health and safety. The hotel sign under reception desk has become lose and the tip of the sign is sharper than a knife. During checkin I got a huge deep cut on my upper leg. Although the staff of apologitic the hotel did not even have a first aid box. I was also shocked when I realised that they had not fixed the sign (I checked out three days later). So please be careful and watch your foot.

Clean, comfortalble, friendly and close to everyth
The hotel is in great area, walking distance to everything. Well, crowded area a bit dirty streets - but cannot blame hotel for that. Extremly friendly staff. Hotel has is actually very clean. It has seen better days and some updates in bathroom (painting, shower update) would be good. Cannot complain. Would stay again, we were 4 in a big family room with queen bed and 2 twin beds - enough space. Breakfast was solid. Nice experience. Booked shuttle to airport through hotel and some tours.

Nice hotel, very close to everything
Lovely 4 day trip, this hotel is very close to pretty much everything you need to see and do in Istanbul and if not the tram is literally a stone's throw away which takes you around everywhere. The staff at the hotel are also very accomodating and pleasant. Can't wait to go back and city them!

Amazing location
My stay at the Aprillis was great. The hotel is situated at an ideal location literally walking distance to the grand bazaar,blue mosque and all major local attractions. The boys at reception were very accommodating and helpful and always ready to help especially Ismail and Murrat.. Ismail personally came and bid us farewell which I thought was a very sweet gesture. I will definitely recommend the Aprillis hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Location was excellent but small rooms
Location was excellent as it was near to the grand bazaar, blue mosque and the tram stop. The hotel was close proximity to bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets. All the staff from the receptionists to the cleaners were friendly. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh linen provided. The only downside was the size of the room. We paid for a triple room but were given a double room with a folding bed which made the room cramped. The hotel doesn't provide duvets only very thin blankets. We had to ask for extra blankets for comfort which was provided without any hesitation. Breakfast was average but food refills were slow and used to run out quickly.

Great Hotel, perfectly located...
Amazing stay at a fantastic hotel, staff were Amazing, rooms were well furnished and clean. Location can not be faulted... 1 min from tram stop, 3 min from Grand Bazaar and 5mins from Aya Sophia/Blue Mosque.
