The room was dirty, it was pretty cold in the room, we weren t able to turn on the AC. The room was on the street side so it was noisy. We asked for another room and we got one but the other one was also not so clean and it was cold. The staff was accommodating and polite.

AN AWFUL HOTEL - beneath contempt!
We arrived at the hotel and found it had a large notice declaring it was CLOSED. Neither the hotel nor Hotels.Com informed us. No compensation was offered other than a refund of payment. I rate this hotel as beneath contempt!

Staff was wonderful. Professional and helpful at every turn. Breakfast was very good and view from enclosed terrace was nice. And location was better than expected. Just 10 minutes from most things to see and lots of good inexpensive restaurants in similar range. Very nice place to come home to after full days exploring the city.

The staff were nice and helpful. However, the rooms were very small, uncomfortable, noisy (trains and constructions), and they don’t look anything like the photos on the site.

Straight to the point
Amazing Hotel. Its very simple. Bathroom water is hot as hell. The room is extremely comfy. Its only about a 10 minute walk from the hagia sofia, blue mosque, topkapi and the brand bazaar. The heater is will burn you. Its that good. The tv could have more channels but other that its an excellent hotel. Breakfast is eh whatever, but good enough.

Great location!
Great location, clean room and helpful staff. It was great value for the price. The sauna looked OK but there was no relax area after taking sauna. Sauna needs to be paid extra.

A hotel we will remember
We were impressed by the warm and friendly staffs, from the manager to reception desk clerks, as wall as the room attendants. They were not only willing to help, but also were thoughtful and considerate, detail-oriented. They make us feel at home from the moment we entered the hotel throughout our stay to the time we said Goodbye to the staff member who carried our luggage to our taxi wearing shirt in cold weather. It was a very warm farewell you rarely see in New York City. We would strongly recommend this hotel to our colleagues in New York, and in TESOL Int’l whose members are from 145 countries all over the world.

Worst experience for a hotel. First of all there is no privacy, at about 1am or so someone kept trying to open my room but his card wouldnt work, then the manager came up used his masterkey and opened the door and i had to scream at him to keep him out. They tried to give thr room to someone else too. And next night EXACT same thing happened. I went to complain in the morning and there was another guest complaining same thing. Oh and there is construction going on right next door so starting at 8:45am you would hear loud noises as if someone is drilling in ur room, all the way to 5pm. Talked to the manager about that and he pretty much said he cant do anything about it.

Great staff & close to all attractions
The staff were brilliant at this hotel. Always willing to help. Yunus even went out & got us a refund for some milk we purchased from a local store which was smelling bad. We didn’t even ask him to! Rooms were always clean and tidy and the location is just a short walk away from the Blue mosque and other historical places of interest. Overall this was a great experience for our first time in Turkey. When we visit again in sure we’ll stay at Almina hotel again.

Nice hotel. Close to main tourist sites.
The hotel was good and very close to the main tourist sites. It is also close to the main shopping district and lots of restaurants close by so easy to grab something to eat. Very friendly locals.

not recommending at all,
terrible hotel and not recommending at all, reserved two rooms there one for my sister and her husband and one for me and my wife that we were on honeymoon, online shows this hotel is 4 star but when i got there no way and should be two stars only, two days before my checkin i called the hotel manager and told him that we are on honeymoon and please don't disappoint us and reserve nice room with view, when i arrived noon time they told me the room not ready yet, so i left my luggage there and went out came back 5pm and the hotel manger saying that the Air conditioner in my room not working and the engineer did not come to fix it, told them in whole istanbul is it only one engineer available? they said maybe he will come tomorrow to fix the ac ( MAYBE) then the manger told me that i can stay in their partner hotel nearby 5 minute walk and every day morning i should come back here for breakfast, guess what the partner hotel its not a hotel, its one star guest house, i paid lots of money to stay my honeymoon in 4 star hotel and they want to move me to stay in 1 star guest house and they charge me in full for 4 star hotel, their hotel was old building not good location as there is building instruction working next to them too noisy for builders machines tiny street and taxi can not pass from there sometime, the hotel manager and the staff were not helpful at all and they said they can not do anything, was very big disappointment on my honeymoon,

Cheap stay near old Istanbul center
Great location for it's price, with good buffet breakfast. Fridge in room was non functioning and shower had poor pressure with the temperature fluctuating often during use. Overall the stuff were friendly and stay was pleasant.

10 minutes walk from Blue Mosque, Almina Hotel.
Its a welcoming place this quirky shaped building on a corner near the Bosphorus with lovely views from the breakfast room. I think just 10 minutes walk you would be at The Blue Mosque.

Comfortable stay. Sitting reach of major attractions. Breakfast was included which was of average rating. I, personally was ill on the last day and out shuttle pick up was 4:30pm and checkout was 12pm... the hotel staff kindly let me stay for an additional few hours.

Nice quick walk to the Blue Mosque
I stayed in this hotel with the family and it was a brilliant stay. The staff were lovely and very helpful and the hotel is very close to Sultan Ahmet Square and a very easy and quick walk to the Blue Mosque and all the shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.

Stayed there for 1 night. Was awesome. Staff was very professional and helpful. Breakfast was just amazing. The location is in the heart of Istanbul with walking distance to blue masque and tens of restaurants around. Highlighly recommended.

Second stay since 2013, will always come back
Comfortable and clean. Good location near Sultanahmet with lovely terrace sea views. Very helpful staff, always willing to help and go the extra mile. We'd asked for a different room to our previous stay which was on the ground floor. This was because we could hear locals from outside the window in the morning so we were happily upgraded to a room on the 1st floor which was a bonus to our stay. There is a nearby railway but it's very rarely noticable. Yunus and Ali were particularly helpful with recommending sites to see and restaurants to try. We had daily conversations with the manager which added a personal touch to our stay. A spa trip with the brother hotel was arranged (Skalion Hotel) which was luxurious and made hassle free with the free pick up and drop off between hotels. Breakfast was basic but very enjoyable with Ali serving us fresh juice and always making sure our needs were met. Luggage hold is available. Overall very professional and personal service at the same time. Thank you Almina :)

A great Hotel with a Great Manager & Staff
Friendly staff. Great location 5 minutes walk away from Blue Mosque Aya Sophia and other sightseeing places. 5 minutes walk away from Sultanahmet metro station that allows easy ride to where you go to prince's islands as well as Taksim & Galata Tower. The hotel condition is really good. Comfy and clean rooms. The staff is so helpful. Amazing terraces at the roof with a great view for drinks and breakfast.

Hotels in Istanbul are too small to be STAR rated
First Trip to Istambul . If one has to go by Expedia Reviews they are misleading . None of the unknown brands can be called 4 or 5 stars . NONE Yet they do offer relative comfort for a small price . If you are looking for a budget hotel choosing by price and even amenities like Aturkish bath , Sauna, Steam (room ) i Have not checked these facilities myself due to time constraints but they exist . A small hotel in the heart of Sultanahmet walking distance to the TRAM and clean , nice rooms . Good Buffet bfast . Front Desk can be a bit more chirpier , but He is definitely not rude . ( Just a feedback Dude) to improve your business. A classy small hotel worth every dollar you spend . There is a restaurant upstairs , and all that one can ask for . Clean toliets , minibar and nice Decor I would stay here again . I stayed for one night before i left Istambul this morning because i checked out of one more hotel i had booked in called SUR .. That is not even a hotel . not even an apartment . I write my reviews with a bit of critical note , but do not let that restrain you from booking here .

Friendly attentive staff. Pleasant clean rooms. Good selection of food for breakfast. Only 25 or so rooms so no crowds. Excellent location for the attractions of Sultanahmet. Lots of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. Would happily stay there again.

Cute hotel close to all old attractions
I really liked the hotel and its staff. The breakfast was yummy and healthy. Great location and walking distance to my most of the attractions such as the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and etc. Highly recommended.

I loved my stay there .. staff was so helpful .. they tried everything possible to make my stay comfortable .. Sefa is an exceptional helpful person. Yunis is awesome. The only thing is black out curtains would be of an added value in sunny days

Excellent in every way.
This hotel was superbly located in a quiet side street within a few minutes walk from the major historic sites of the city. It was reasonably priced and run by staff who took a real pride in their work and did all within their power to ensure you have a good stay. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

This hotel looks differnt in the picturs , nothing is the same as you seen in pictures, it was shocking when I first see this hotel,, I start crying. They give me besment room with carpet I have asthma, I kept telling them but no one is there to help you. No manger..I hated myself for picking up this hotel. And I left the hotel the next day,, they did not return my money but I coldnt be there one minutes, there was alday that I had a chat with her she was shocked by seeing this hotel at first

Pleasant boutique hotel in Sultanahmet
Pleasant looking hotel with comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Great location, just a few minutes walk to nearby restaurants, bazaar and Sultanahmet Square, Blue Mosque etc. would stay here again.

The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. The hotel was good value for money and matched our needs with a small air conditioned, quiet bedroom. It was windowless but that was good for sleeping. breakfast on the balcony has a great view

A nice hotel in the old city
The staff are excellent, the room was clean and big enough for our family of 3. It is near the old city, but the location is a bit odd - a few minutes walk down a dingy back alley. However, 5 minutes walk takes you to good restaurants and to the touristy part of town.

Hotel was within walking distance to a few attractions and to the hop-on hop-off bus. However I must say the single-glazed windows in the room let in a lot of noise, especially from the laundrette below. Also breakfast times were hectic, not enough seating, not enough food at times, and a bit understaffed.

We had a great stay at Almina hotel. My husband is really picky with hotels and wanted the feel of a western hotel rather than a boutique hotel. Almina hotel was very modern and clean. The foyer gave off a contemporary feel with the lighting and modern furniture. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable enough for the 2 of us. Kind of felt like a holiday inn or best western inside the hotel. The staff (especially one man who no longer works there) was super helpful. They arranged all of our transportation to and from the hotel and even ordered food for us if we needed anything late night. The shower was tiny. I'm petite and only 5 feet tall and found it small so I can't imagine how a bigger person would be comfortable in there. However, the bathroom was modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was pretty good but changing it up from day to day would've been nice. The hotel is located in the old area of Sultanahmet so it was in a run-down area. The location in terms of walking distance to local attractions was unbeatable. A 2 minute walk to the Blue Mosque! I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Istanbul again.

Nice modern hotel
This hotel is less than a 5 minute walk away from the main tourist sites (Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia etc), so an excellent location. My room was very comfortable, spacious and clean, with air conditioning and a good bathroom. The breakfast (included) had a good variety of foods available and the staff were both friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and some of the rooms have a sea view.
