If your family is looking for an outstanding vacation home, 43rd Avenue would be a perfect choice! This traditional Isle of Palms beach house has it all; a brand new private pool, five bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, many new furnishings, and the perfect location! All of this at a price that works for families traveling to the island for an outstanding vacation.

43rd Avenue was just purchased by a young family with one goal in mind, a great vacation destination for their children and yours. In planning their new beach house, the first objective was the construction of a private swimming pool and backyard grounds complete with fresh plantings and grass. Your family will now have a hard time leaving the new private pool for the short walk to the beach.

The location of 43rd is terrific. The home is positioned on a corner lot with the beach being exactly one short block away. When you arrive at the beach, your family will discover that it is one of the best stretches of sand and surf on the island. In fact, a solid break is not far down the beach, where the surfers work magic when the conditions are right.

43rd features two floors of living space. The main living area and four bedrooms are located on the second floor. In addition to the spacious living room, #11 on 43rd is highlighted with a large sunroom, dining room, and breakfast room overlooking the new swimming pool. The kitchen is well equipped and recently renovated featuring a Jenn-Air Range, new appliances, custom cabinets, and Corian countertops. The living room has a new large flat screen television and all new furniture that brings out the beauty of the island. Two bedrooms on the upper-level feature a queen bed. The kids’ guest bedroom is highlighted with a double/twin bunk bed. Finally, the master bedroom has a private bath and a king bed overlooking the new private pool.

The lower level of #11 on 43rd is super special! It is a grandfather suite, with a large bedroom featuring a king bed, a living room, private bath, and a small kitchen area. Also featured downstairs is a queen sofa bed and Wii. An enclosed porch on the lower level features a ping pong table and direct access to the new private pool. Finally, the garage has room for two cars, all of your rented beach bikes, and your beach toys.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

Family Friendly

We were a little skeptical after reading some of the previous reviews. However, upon arrival, we were overall impressed. The pool and spa were amazing. Many reviews complained of the yard needing mowing and the pool being dirty. However, the grass grows quickly due to the sprinkler system and the pool is shaded by many trees that drop leaves. I can understand how quickly the yard and pool can get out of control. With some patience and light pool skimming, we were able to keep the pool in top shape. The house is nothing extravagant, but EXTREMELY child friendly. As a mother of four young children, I appreciated the toy closet and minimal trinkets that could get broken. There was plenty of seating for a large family. The basement ensuite was perfect for my family and gave us privacy from the rest of our extended family. This home was very cozy and was enjoyed very much by my family. If I had to provide one suggestion, it would be to spruce up the front yard & curb appeal of the house. The walk to the beach was very manageable.

House misrepresented

This home was misrepresented completely on your site. The yard was a mess and choose this home for the grounds and pool. the pool and hot tub were broken. They were not fixed until half way through the trip. There were dead cockroaches thoughtout the house and 3 beds squeaked so badly they could not be used. Not happy with the experience at all.

Great location. Pics are somewhat deceiving.

Proximity to beach and stores and Charleston was great. However, we had to sweep the entire driveway and porch and steps to avoid anyone breaking an ankle on the magnolia seed pods. Plus there were leaves covering everything. The pool was filthy. “Spa” hottub was cold and cost money for someone to come warm up. Pics make the yard and bedrooms look huge but they were not. Basement was a little dirty with spiders and bugs and some of the doors were rusty. It was close to beach and had plenty of towels and kitchen utensils and we had room to spread out but I do not feel it was worth what we paid.

NEVER AGAIN - BEACHSIDE VACATIONS

Unfortunately we never got to enjoy our stay at the Beachside Vacations property due to Hurricane Ian impacting our travel. Even more unfortunately, Beach Vacations & VRBO were unwilling to support us in getting a credit or refund of any kind for our canceled plans. The cancellations were totally out of our hands and all flights were canceled due to the hurricane. We gave Beachside Vacations notice and yet they were still unsympathetic. In the face of a hurricane, Beachside Vacations said: "We are not able to cancel the reservation due to wind/rain/weather". I highly discourage anyone from booking with Beachside Vacations and will not book with them again in the future.

The house exterior was not kept up but the inside was great!

Good kitchen items but very small cooking area. Bring your own containers if you chop and cook or plan to use baggies. The beds were great, the spaces were good, the furniture was okay too. There was also plenty of room for our little ones to play in the upstairs area. The only problems we had were the upper and lower back doors into the house were rotted through and we think that's why we had roaches (only four during the week...and we sprayed the exterior so it was better after that). The garage was dirty and unkept, as was the porch, and the patio table out back, and no one had mowed the yard and the grass was ankle high. We asked for it to be mowed and never heard from anyone. I would ask ahead for that. The pool was great but the monitor was registering a problem and we called to have it checked and no one came. Also no one followed up with us from either the management company or the pool company. The last day of our stay it was obvious someone had cleaned the pool but since no one called we weren't there to have them check anything else and I suspect they didn't since the monitor was still registering a problem. So we're not sure if there was a real problem-it was saying the salt was low. The beach was close, and great for our little ones as its flat for a ways. Bring shoes as its very shelly. The IOP is a great area and this is a good house. All in all we had a great family vacation:)

Amazing for families with small kids!!

This house was exactly what we were looking for! We had 6 adults and 5 kids ranging from 11 months to 5 years old. The kids loved playing in the pool and there was a great sitting area outside to enjoy grilling/eating and hanging around the pool. The outdoor bathroom was an added bonus for sure! All the furniture was very comfortable and kid friendly (not many low sharp corners/fragile decor) which allowed the adults to enjoy the vacation a little more as well😀. Overall we had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this house!

Perfect home and location

This home and location was perfect for our family!! The home was spacious and clean and private with the privacy fenced yard. The pool was so nice to have.....we spent many hours in the pool!! The grill and outdoor table seating was also so nice!! The beach was just a walk across Palm Boulevard.....the home was convenient to everything else on the island. We will be returning!!

Excellent location but no hot tub.

This house is incredibly large. 4 bedrooms, 3 baths upstairs and a bedroom/bath downstairs. It was about 4 minutes walk to the beach. The only problem was that I selected a home that had a hot tub but both the pool (which is very nice and perfect for summer) and hot tub do not heat. That was disappointing as well as the roofers we woke up to without notice. Other than that it was great! Loved visiting Charleston and the Tragical History Tour was a favorite.

Great location on Isle of Palms

Very happy with our stay at this property. Easy 2 minute walk to the beach. 5 minute car ride to local grocery story and a number of restaurant options and easy 20-25 minute drive to downtown Charleston. New pool/spa was great for the kids. Would definitely consider returning if we make our way back to Charleston.
