The Rocking G - Vacation and recreation by Yellowstone Park

Come stay at the Rocking G, a new cabin (completed in late 2023) on a forested lot in the secluded Cowan Summer Homes by Island Park Reservoir.

This incredibly cozy 2,000 sq. ft. cabin sits on over a full acre of land and sleeps 12 people. It is perfect for three couples with kids or two couples with LOTS of kids. The Rocking G is just steps from the water and has access to the private Cowan boat ramp (there is no dock access).

The cabin is accessible all year by AWD and 4WD in Winter. We have parking for snowmobiling. There are trails accessible from the cabin for snowmobiles or ATV/UTVs. Right out of the driveway there is prime snowmobiling as the trees open up to a field and the frozen Island Park Reservoir. This provides you opportunities at fresh powder just feet away. Shoot across the Island Park Reservoir to Lakeside Lodge for gas and refreshements. Or use the community boat dock in the summer to set sail. Snowmobiles, wave runners and UTVs can also be rented at Lakeside Lodge.

The driveway on the property has enough space for three cars and two trailers and leads right up to the door of the cabin. Access to the Cowen neighborhood is easy and paved all the way until the neighborhood roads, which are packed dirt roads open year round.The entrance to Yellowstone Park is just a beautiful 30 mile drive. 

Please note that the cost per night is based on the number of guests. Therefore it is important to accurately know how many guests are in your party. If you need to make any changes to the number of guests please let us know.
The bottom line price is set to include up to 4 guests. Each additional guest is $35 per night, per guest. This is so smaller groups can book at a lower price than the full occupancy price.
