Anniversary trip
We enjoyed our stay at the house. We were confused about the house since it said whole house but technically was more like a duplex. No problems with it though, mostly quiet and never ran into owners.

Our weekend getaway
We searched online for a home rental that conveniently located between Grand Marais and the Keweenaw Peninsula that was clean, close to shopping, updated, quiet and internet service. This home was perfect for us. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. If you are a rockhound you will love this home.

Quiet, comfortable, and beautiful location
Perfect for what we needed for a family plus one dog. Clear and informative communication from the owner about a week out and again as check-in approached. Comfortable home, very quiet, fenced in yard for the dog was really convenient. We’ll be back next time we are in the area!

Cozy Private Setting
WE LOVE THIS HOME! This location very close to the city of Ishpeming in a rural setting that is quiet and very private with a safe fenced in yard area that would be ideal for guests with pets. There is a ramp to the entrance for those who would prefer to avoid steps. The layout of the house is very functional and decorated with bright and cheery tones. We loved all of the furnishings and decor! The living room is very comfortable, situated close to the kitchen - which is absolutely perfect with lots of space for several people to work on preparing meals and lots of family interaction as we enjoy the meals. The owners live in a separate portion of the house and are very sweet and helpful, offering suggestions of many natural sights to see in the UP! We will definitely book this vrbo location again!

Great place to stay for family of 4
Cathy and her family were wonderful hosts! She made sure that we had toys, books, and games that were appropriate for our 2 and 4 year old. She even arranged for us to meet the goats and found a lost stuffed animal after our departure. Saved us lots of tears! Thank you, Cathy and Family!

A Cozy Retreat
Very comfortable, nicely decorated, great hosts. This house has everything I could possibly think of needing. We liked the country feel and the close proximity to Marquette and the UP attractions we came to experience. Very well equipped kitchen, luxurious linens, and entertaining goats in the yard (fenced in). Host kept in touch, left lots of information and maps. Highly recommended.

The hosts were amazing to deal with. Very friendly and helpful when I couldn't figure out the lock on the door (all me!). The house was just right for home base in a quiet neighborhood just outside of town.

Perfect place to stay
We had a wonderful getaway here. Convenient location, very cozy, clean & peaceful surroundings. There is a spacious enclosed yard for your furry friend to roam about in. This made for an easy trip with our older dog with mobility issues. What made it even better was a ramp to the front door which really helped! Numerous thoughtful amenities throughout the house. The owners were very kind & quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommend this place!

Lovely duplex
Great people who owned the property. The ONLY downside was that there were dogs that barked as you came into the house every time and once in a while during the day. NO barking at night but we just really dislike loud barking dogs. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy, welcoming
I loved our stay in this home. Homeowners left us a welcome gift of local treats and had so many personal touches throughout the home that we felt truly welcome. In addition to having a perfectly well stocked kitchen, there is a fenced patio area on the side of the home with seating and lights to enjoy sitting out at night, in addition to access to the front fenced area. They left an information book with spots to eat and shop even listing details about each space. The home was cozy and we felt very comfortable staying there. The queen bed was amazing, super soft, amazing sleep.

Everything you need for a great stay
The home was in a quiet location with a pretty yard and even goats, who I didn’t get to enjoy but were fun to see out the window. The home is comfy and well stocked with both essentials and extras like lots of towels, coffee and filters, spices, bottled water etc. Even though I travel with most of those things anyway, it’s nice for travelers to know there are some basic necessities. The hosts were pleasant and though they live on the property, I barely saw them. I’m a dog lover and didn’t mind the occasional barking as they greeted me when I was coming and going. Because I was working remotely part of my trip, the very good internet service was appreciated. Overall an excellent choice for a visit.
