I had stayed here before and liked it, but this time I didn’t feel welcomed by the staff. The beds were clean and comfortable at least, but our carpets were filthy. I also came to the room in the afternoon to find people in the room fixing the shower that I didn’t know was broken (I used it that morning and it was fine). If there was something wrong with the shower, then why did they give us this room? Filthy. One of our rooms wasn't available so they moved us down the street. Room was literally shaking. DO NOT STAY HERE. I had requested some gluten-free options for breakfast and they hadn’t received my message through the booking app, so someone went out immediately and bought gf bread, crumpets and cereal and was back before I had finished the yogurt and coffee I thought I’d be having. Very grateful for this lovely service. This is a very well-located property if you’re coming by train. It is an older building and shows its age but the room was clean and comfortable. The reception is up one floor and rooms may be up another 2 floors and there is no elevator so you need to be able to manage your bags up stairs.
