Hotel is in a quiet area of Inverness, requiring a car or taxi to visit the town centre. The hotel itself is an older, grander building with a newer (2006), annex. We stayed in the annex, which had lovely big and clean rooms. Bed was very comfortable, with a fridge, tea and coffee. Bathroom was huge with nice products and a great shower. We had breakfast which was freshly cooked and delicious. Staff were all welcoming with a real family atmosphere and they couldn't do enough for us. We would definitely return and have no problem recommending the hotel to other travellers. Inverness is a great base to see the great glen and the north east coast.

Staff here was very nice. It is not walkable to downtown Inverness but if you have a car it works well. Good breakfast options and room was nice size. We stayed in the new building, only complaint was that there was a green safety light above the window that shown brightly the entire night and kept us both up. UGH!

The place was lovely. It was a 2 mile walk into town. Great breakfast, the best, kindest and most helpful staff. We'd go back anytime.

A very nice hotel. Had everything we needed except....air conditioning during some pretty warm times in Scotland. I did not want to open a window since no screen was present on the window. A fan was provided which helped some but a long hot night. I understand the air conditioning is not preset on most hotels in the Highlands. Everything else is fine.

The staff was very friendly and helped arrange transportation into town. This hotel is about a ten minute drive away from everything. The room was very large and clean.

Excellent service and management. The staff was helpful, accommodating, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The location is very convenient if you want to stay in Inverness but not right in the busy city area. We would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay. Inverness is a beautiful city. The staff at Lochardil House were wonderful. They went above and beyond to help us The breakfast served in the conservatory was the best since I’ve been on my holiday (3 weeks) The only negative is the size of the room: really small

Lovely inn- very clean and quaint. We were assigned the annex , which was fine. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Only issue- my husband had second shower and he ran out of hot water.

Very dated. Needs renovation but very clean rooms. Very helpful staff.lovely breakfast. Bit out of the way from centre of town. No restaurant which makes a difference to general atmosphere of hotel.

Peaceful stay
Lovely stay, excellent staff. Quiet and peaceful. Note that they only serve breakfast and it is not walkable to restaurants. But the staff was so helpful in arranging taxis for us as well as helping us get takeaway food delivered one night. Even gave us plates and cutlery to eat in the dining room.

Outstanding customer service
Our family traveling with us loved staying in the main building. We stayed in a large family room in the separate building. Husband had to take a work meeting and wifi is not great in the separate building so the manager set him up in a room in the main building for his meeting. The breakfast is amazing. Daughter was sick so stayed in bed and they let me do a takeaway container for her as well. Wonderful customer service here.

It was a charming bed and breakfast nice large rooms and baths beautiful atrium for breakfast and staff very kind. We walked down town along the water way and it was a lovely walk nice area to visit and many restaurants to choose from be sure to make reservations! everything was busy.

Check in was a bit odd but they got it done. Room was big (we had 3 people) and garden house annex was very modern - not sure it matched the property and neighborhood but it was nice. Staff and breakfast were fantastic although I didn’t much like to have to take a very early or very late breakfast time due to a tour bus group. Overall excellent time and I would stay here gain!

Overall a nice place to stay the night on our road trip. Breakfast was great! Our room’s shower didn’t hold a steady temperature. Room was clean. Easy access via taxi or car to other parts of the city.

Our stay was not good. No water glasses, no tissues, broken hairdryer, and shower changed from 10 seconds scalding hot to 30 secs freezing cold, and impossible to adjust. For the first-time in a lifetime of international travel I was told I had to book a time (inconvenient) for breakfast because they had a coach party to attend to. Breakfast was in a chilly Conservatory, the cold buffet was very limited and the young girls tried hard to provide service, but overall breakfast was a bit of a shambles. I struggle to see how this hotel achieved its ratings- our rating is low (disappointing) and we would definitely NOT book again at this hotel

At first we were disappointed - the annex had dirty carpet and a moldy bathroom. But the second night we were moved into the regular house, which was absolutely beautiful. The staff are amazing. The food is delicious. I would definitely recommend this place.
