The Steamboat Inn is an amazing place to stay the North Umpqua River. The staff is amazing and the restaurant is superior. Our room was great with a shared deck overlooking the N. Umpqua River. The room is quaint and wall cared for. It is clean with lots of storage and a comfortable bed and great shower. This is a destination stay as you are on an isolated section of the river. There is fishing, great hiking, waterfalls and if you like solitude. We loved our stay here and will return.

Beautiful setting. Lovely grounds. Excellent staff. There’s pros and cons about the lack of connectivity, but in this day and age I would prefer at least either cell phone service or WiFi in the cabins. Few of us have the luxury of not needing to be available to communicate with our colleagues.

This place is an absolute gem. Located right on the Umpqua river, we got to experience the view right from our room's balcony. The room and bathroom was emaculate with clear instructions for everything and a detailed welcome booklet. There is a lovely path down to the river where you can enjoy the view with your morning coffee sitting right beside the Umpqua. Their library is also the cutest! Packed with every board game your hearts desire and a multitude of books to enjoy. The lodge has all sorts of souvenirs you can pick up to remember your stay by, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Honestly, our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer!

This is an awesome property if you want to get away from it all. I stayed in the smaller cabins by the river and it was very clean and quaint. There were only a couple of issues, the biggest one being they had no air conditioning in the units and it was ridiculously hot while I was there. They also have no refrigerator in the unit, which is a big problem in my opinion, and the WiFi was almost none existent and when there is no cell phone coverage, it can be a major hassle, especially when you have to be in contact with other family members that are staying in different parts of the property and there is no way to contact them. Loved the place overall but I really think they should get a Starlink system or something similar, so you can actually contact the outside world. .

Wonderful little getaway in the woods. Perfect place to unplug. Stayed during early March and got a wonderful river view with beautiful light snow. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and unplug.

Beautiful property with clean but somewhat dated accommodations. Customer service was excellent and wait staff very accommodating. Food was definitely hit or miss as food pairings were not well thought out. Portions were reasonable but overall way over prices for the dinner offerings. Breakfast was spot on, reasonably priced and very tasty.

This is a world class setting on clear flowing Oregon river that purposely has no cell or wifi service so you can't help but unwind. Staff treats you like family.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating, location was beautiful. Everything was great except that the cabin was very hot and there were no screened windows to help cool it down. I hope they can find a way to remedy this because everything else about the stay was fantastic

This is a beautiful property in the middle of nowhere. We went back and forth to Crater Lake (about 60 min). The staff was wonderful and friendly. The onsite restaurant was delicious but very pricy. The cabins were beautiful and had a fun back porch to enjoy the river behind the inn. The bed and pillows needed a little help.

Such a beautiful inn nestled in the trees. Our room view was the Umpqua River with seating on our deck. Breakfast and dinner were delicious with a great restaurant menu. The outside grounds had gorgeous flowers and if it had been warmer we’d have opted for outside seating. This inn is a wonderful place to connect with nature and loved ones. No TV or Internet in the rooms … and that’s a good thing.

This little out of the way inn was just what we needed on a long road trip home from San Francisco. Amazing location, well appointed room and excellent food for both dinner and breakfast. Staff was so friendly, costs were reasonable and sleeping with the sound of the River was so relaxing. We definitely want to return soon and stay longer.

Serene and classy place with a good restaurant. Landscaping is nice and the river roar is omnipresent. Note: they do have wifi in the restaurant/lobby. There is a trail (a little rough) down to the river bank with a nice little pebble beach. I cant think of a nicer place to hang all day in warmer months. You could cool off in the river, but dont go further out than about 6 feet due to current and rapids. The hotel says they can recommend great other swimming holes in the area The hotel and environs has a fascinating history.

The location and the grounds were quite nice. The deck overlooking the river was a great place to read and relax. I planned on fishing one day and was disappointed to find that fishing was closed. I should have been told that before we arrived. The food and the service were both good but grossly overpriced in my opinion. Overall, our stay was relaxing.
