"If you love the sound of train horns blaring at close proximity all night long every half hour or so, then this place is for you! The awful sleep is enough to rank this super low. The pond and inflatable wibit are a hit with the kids though, and the private cabins are clean enough and air conditioned. Hotels.com should have listed up front before booking that you must BRING YOUR OWN LINENS. We were lucky that we had some random sleeping bags and pillows with us or we would have had to buy...

"Our room was very clean and very quiet, the two most important things I want in a hotel room. And the price per night was extremely economical, lower than anything else I could find within 30 miles of where we wanted to stay on Labor Day weekend when all other motels nearly doubled their prices for the Labor Day weekend. Check-in was a little frustrating. We had a reservation guaranteed with a credit card but the motel office was closed and a sign on the office door provided a number to call to get help. When I called, I was told that my room was in the building across the street, the door was unlocked, and the key for the room was inside the room. All this turned out to be true and everything was fine. The motel buildings are about 70 years old and look worn out, especially from the outside, which bothered my wife but everything worked and we had no problems. For amenities, there was free Wi-Fi that worked well and a medium sized refrigerator (that worked after I plugged it in and set the temperature to maximum cold). There's no breakfast available at the motel or even in the small town where the motel is located. But we were able to get a good breakfast at a cafe in a town that was about 5 miles away. Overall, I thought the motel was great value for the money but my wife was not happy. However, she got over it after I reminded her of how much money we saved by staying at this motel so she could go antique shopping the next day. :-)"
