Super friendly and helpful staff .... If you approached a staff member who couldn’t speak English they would find a staff member that did. Excellent buffet breakfast with almost every imaginable breakfast option. Comfortable beds, shower like a tropical downpour. On the downside: this building was built about 20 years ago, I guess, and some areas are showing a little wear and tear. But this didn’t detract from our overall experience.

Nice location. A few minute ride from airport shuttle bus. Behind the hotel there is a huge shopping mall. Room is clean and facilities is generally quite new.

The room was spacious, clean, well-furnished. Bed was extremely comfortable and wide.Bathroom was large with both shower and a very big bath tub,hot water running immediately which is what you want from a 5*hotel and on a cold day!Had foreign tv channels-not always a given even in top hotels in China! Reception was happy to replenish our water and fruit bowl, however we got a shock when a staff member INVITED herself into the room insisting that she had to put the items on the table herself as opposed to just passing them to my husband-very awkward situation that I have never experienced before, certainly not in a 5* hotel. The only issue with the room was very thin door-I could hear every noise coming from the hallway, conversations, music, all very clearly..Location is good as it's right next door to a shopping mall, cafes and restaurants, and a walking distance away from a large shopping area with even more restaurants and fancy shops. Bus stop right outside, if you want to go to West Lake. I was slightly put off by the receptionist as... well.. she wasn't very welcoming, just a blank face. I started the conversation, in English (as I would expect staff in an international 5* chain to know a good level of English), but she seemed uncomfortable and after a second turned to my husband to speak in Mandarin, completely ignoring me for the rest of the check-in even though the room was in my name...Hmm not the best customer service...

Excellent except shower room
It was excellent except shower room's drainage cover was not well placed and covered which causes problem cave in during shower when you step on it. Potential to hurt your leg nails if not careful.

Door locked was defective which was not noticeable till i left the room and push the door inwards then realized it wasn't locked for first two nights. Glad nothing was lost but still feeling very uncomfortable to stay in such un-secure 5 star hotels.

Nice Hotel and good value for money. upon Check in, a deposit of 500RMB was requested for incidentals. I had 2 guest visiting and decided to eat at the Chinese Restaurant. Food and ambience good but service needs to improve. Crossing over Customer to reach for plates etc, lack food served knowledge, could not answer what soup is being served when asked. Lastly, as I wanted to bill the check to the room, it happened to be 525 RMB, it was rejected as I had only had 500RMB as deposit. I had to go to the front desk, 5 floors down to add increase my deposit or needed to use my credit card to pay for the meal. No flexibility given to Manager of restaurant at all.

Great Hotel in China Huizhou
Stayed there for 3 nights during my biz trip in China, this is the 3rd time i stayed in that hotel and it never let me down thus far. Friendly front desk, grand lobby, spacious, clean and comfort room, fine selection of breakfast and etc will surely bring me back to the same hotel again in the near future.

There is a big shopping mall near to this hotel and you can find any kind of Chinese food here. Hotel staff is nice and we had a dinner buffet in the restaurant. Good food and comfortable environment.

Very nice city hotel. Unfortunately, no activities
Stayed four nights, thought of booking full day tours to scenic mountains at hotel travel desk. Unfortunately, no travel desk, only limousine service. Anyway, it was their raining season, so only went to two nearby lakes by taxi carrying umbrellas throughout. Raining heavily every day while there, too costly and risky to go by taxi to explore Mountains in case of landslides, advised by concierge. Ended up nothing to do for three days.

Not quite a 5 star by my standard
The executive rooms were a bit small for similar hotels of the same rating. My non-smoking room smelled like a old ashtray. Otherwise not much to complain about. The location is centralized, but in China, you need to take a taxi to get around and the fares are cheap.

The room is clean, tidy & big enough. As i had tried the hotel dinner buffet, environment is nice but the variety of food is limited specially the meat choice. Overall it is a good experience.
