The hotel is in located on Warren St, a great location (the only street housing any type of community life, retail,
restaurants, etc). The aesthetics of the hotel is quaint and charming, and the beds are comfortable. The power jet shower is awesome, however the shower head itself lacks water pressure. The carpets in the hallways need a deep cleaning as they have a horrible stale stench. I had to hold my breath every time I left and entered the hotel. The front desk staff is pleasant but not helpful or responsive to communications. The hotel is also not staffed from 7pm-9am, and the after hours phone line can take several hours to receive a response, if at all.
My issue with this hotel is that is is operated like a glorified motel and lacks concern for client health safety or adequate accommodations, which contradicts what is outlined in its hotel description.
We arrived just before 7pm, which I communicated with front desk several times to ensure that we would still be able to get into our room. Once we entered through the back entrance and entered our room I noticed my body was reacting as if I was having an allergic reaction to something. My husband noticed the paperwork that they provided at check in and stated that we were in the ONLY per friendly room. I have severe allergies to most animals and it was apparent that the room and hallways had not been properly cleaned. At that point is was 7:02pm and the receptionist had already left.
