"Property was clean and well maintained. Staff was great! Breakfast isn't until 8 am. Depending on your schedule, it may not be a problem. We were able to plan our trail time around that and made it work. I would certainly stay here again."

"I cannot say enough about this home. I absolutely loved the layout of the house, the property, the amenities (every single thing you can think of, has already been thought about and is available should you need). Kerry (so sorry if I keep spelling this wrong) could not have been a better greeter/property manager/resource for island info. We were a little early for the season still so not as many fish as the boys would have liked but we'll be back for them to try again :). Kayaking (offered amenity), rock hunting, wildlife watching (periscope & binoculars on window sills, amazing idea!), exploring, quality time by a fire with the important people, getting lost and finding such beautiful places, it was hard to leave. The host is very easy to contact and very responsive. Literally not a negative thing to mention. I highly recommend booking and finding out for yourself."

"I rented with the expectation of having family join us, they did not, so it was just us 2. We had a great stay, no issues! The kitchen was impressively supplied with pots, pans, dishes, convection oven, microwave, Kpod coffee maker with a huge assortment of pods.They have a great variety of books and games to pass the time and a view of the marina and river traffic across the street.10 out of 10 here!"

"Carter’s Getaway was everything we needed and more for a small family fishing getaway. The property is more beautiful in-person than conveyed in the pictures. Amenities were excellent and the kitchen is well stocked. The property is comfortable and cozy with beautiful sunrise views over the lake. Host communication was pleasant and timely. Overall, great experience!"
