At the house, enjoy the sight and sound of the bay from boats and birds passing by. Get on the water with provided kayaks and explore the coast. Fish from our private 216-ft pier. There's an elevator, EV charger, foosball, ping pong, basketball, arcade, outdoor chess/checkers, and cornhole game. The vacation retreat is situated right on the shoreline. Greeted with a beautiful sunrise each morning, you will be awed at the magnificent panoramic views of the bay from outside as well as inside of the house. There are lounging areas on the covered balcony overlooking the gulf. The single and tandem kayaks can be launched from the concrete pad next to the water. Life jackets of different sizes are provided. The heart of the house is its open floor plan that combines the living area with the dining room and kitchen. Rounding out the 2nd floor are bedrooms 1 & 2 and bathrooms 1 & 2\. Bedrooms 3, 4 & 5 , bathroom 3 and an additional living room are on the 1st floor. All rooms are within the house under one roof and accessible with inside stairs and elevator. Park on our nestled driveway away from the street. Pierfect Day at Kemah Bay! Be at ease on our private 230-ft pier with hand railings on all sides. Chill under plenty of shade and cozy string lights which adorn the pier. There are lights for night fishing and cleaning stations with running water and sink on the pier and patio. We have caught red fish, flounder, speckled trout, black/red drum, sheepshead, catfish, alligator gar, crabs, including sharks! If you love to fish, this is the place! All HDTVs are smart, which means you can watch your favorite cable and internet channels by using only the TV remote. You will have access to our ad-free YouTube Premium account and YouTube TV account, which broadcasts live TV from 85+ popular cable channels, on-demand shows, local news and sports. There are other video streaming apps installed on the TV that you can log in with your own account. The Kemah Boardwalk and the Lighthouse District have many events and activities scheduled throughout the year so please check their websites for latest happenings. We have the prime up-close spot to experience the Kemah Boardwalk Fireworks on certain holidays and every Friday from June to July. You can "sea" floating arrays of lights illuminating from numerous boats surrounding the fireworks barge, which is anchored not far from the end of our pier. Kemah Permit #241210004 Other details to note: IMPORTANT: We strive to make your stay enjoyable, secure and safe for everyone. Only guests in the reservation are allowed on the property. Please review our House Rules section. For bedroom #4, there's a bunk bed with a double at the bottom and twin at the top. There's also a separate trundle bed (twin size) that can be pulled out from the bottom of the bunk bed. Elevator is 32" wide and 40" deep. It is reserved for guests who have difficulties in using the stairs. No children are allowed inside without an adult present. The level 2 EV car charger is the Tesla Gen 3 Home Charging Station. Adapter J1772 is needed to connect to non-Tesla EVs. You can check yourself in with the keypad. We live in the area and are available when needed. You will have access to the house, pier, backyard and sea. Doors labeled as "No Access", attic, shed and anything that is locked are off limits. There are outside security cameras at the front and back of the house. Fireplace is not in service. Home was very clean. Has 3 huge primary suits for adults and 2 cool bunk rooms for kids. Fits 2 or 3 families comfortably. Has a ln outdoor gameroom and a huge 2nd floor balcony w amazing views of the bay. Great fishing dock where we caught crabs on the 5 supplied traps and fish off the well lot pier. Also the main kitchen and living room is very spacious. Also has a huge driveway and plenty of parking and still room for basketball on driveway w the basketball goal. Too many amenities to list. The location is perfect. We walked to the Boardwalk everyday with the kids.The house is clean and has everything you need. One of my favorite restaurants is around the corner T Bone Tom’s. It is obvious why this property consistently receives a 10/10 rating. The house is beautiful, well-appointed, very, very clean, with exceptional amenities. The fishing pier is a great addition for those who enjoy wetting a line. The location of the house is mere steps away from the Kemah boardwalk that offer numerous restaurants, shopping, bar locations for the adults and carnival rides and games for the kids. It is also minutes from other spots that the Houston area offers for vacationers.Having rented VRBO properties for the past 10 years, I've dealt with numerous owners but Le ranks at the top of the list. He was extremely personable and took time to contact us several times to see if the property was meeting our needs and expectations. The Kemah Bay Retreat exceeded every expectation and has become our go to property for future family gatherings. I highly recommend this property. ##### Ron P. Wr are a large family with 6 kids from 9-17\. Everyone has ample space to enjoy whichever activity they liked. We spent a lot of time on the covered pier. If you enjoy fishing it’s a great space. The property was very comfortable and had a lot to do. The highlight of our trip was catching a crab. We were very excited before we released it back into the ocean. The host is exceptional. Every area of the property has special and thoughtful touches that just enhanced our visit and showed how much the host cares about his guests. The location absolutely CAN NOT be beat! Ten of us ranging in age from 12 to 65-ish all rate this as the best vacation ever. So much to do The pier drew us in and did not disappoint. Lots and lots of fishing. Wonderful meals all within walking distance. A great amusement park next door (yet the property felt private and peaceful). Half way between Houston and Galveston so we made trips to both cities for Football bowl games, the Zoo, walks on the beach, cruises, etc. Again, the location is perfect. New Year's Eve we were treated to a very elaborate fireworks display and the fireworks barge was anchored straight off our pier. We had the best view you can imagine, all snuggled up under blankets on the beautiful upper deck. It was bliss. The whole stay was bliss. Le was wonderful to work with. Before booking I wondered how this property got such a high rating, and I hoped it was "for real". It deserves it's near-perfect score and more. Above and beyond. Room as are very comfortable and amenities are adequate. Everything wa marked correctly and I really liked the no access labels so we don’t bother pulling out the drawers. The view of the sea from the second floor is amazing. We got to see the sunrise from the second floor. Very relaxing trip and the owners have thought of all possible things the guests might need. The property is absolutely fabulous. The inside is very accommodating for every possible need. The outside offered treats for all ages. AND the fishing and crabbing set-up, the pier, the lighting, cleaning table, water availability is outstanding.
