The shuttle to the hotel went well. When I checked in I asked about booking the shuttle back in the morning. The clerk told me there would be no shuttle due to weather. I was confused, there was rain in the forecast with positive temperatures. I asked if she could call a taxi in the morning and she said "no, you should call yourself an Uber". I went to get into my room but the key did not work, so I returned to the desk where the clerk gave me a new room. The room was clean and generally well appointed. There was a note in the bathroom saying that employees are in charge of amenities, and that if any are missing my credit card will be charged...are they saying they charge their employees for items missing from rooms? Are they saying that I could get charged if an employee decided to steal...it was confusing and off-putting. The bed had a big sink hole, I was alone and slept across it so it was ok. I booked my Uber and had a good sleep. In the morning, I asked at the desk about reimbursement for the Uber 20$ given the weather was fine, my Uber could drive and my flight was going. The employee said he only knew he was told to customers the shuttle was cancelled. I had breakfast, sadly the waffle maker doesn't work and myself and others had to throw ours out as they were uncooked inside, despite us double and triple cooking time.
