We enjoyed our two night stay at the Residence Inn in downtown Houston. The location is very convenient for taking the train to NRG Stadium or the bus to the airport. Check-in was quick and easy and they had free cookies to celebrate the 4th of July. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit dated and there are some carpet stains in the elevator/hall areas, but that wasn't a big deal to us. The room itself was clean and large with a queen size bed, kitchen, and plenty of counter space near the bathroom sink. We loved the complimentary breakfast in the morning (hot items change daily) and the coffee and fruit-infused ice water that is available all day. We would definitely stay at the Residence Inn again the next time we're in Houston!
